Busy... busy...
I disappear for a little bit (okay, half a month. Blah. The big problem is the catching up part!), come back to the board and: T'Sara and Ekayak are pregnant (Congratulations to both of you! Yay, babies!!!!!!!!) Elessar has a new gun (not a big surprise  :D ) and I'm almost afraid of trying to...

Re: What are you...
I missed the part where you hurt your foot. Did you hurt it skating? Nope, I actually hurt it right before the big competition that I had been gearing up for since, well, October-- Adult Eastern Sectionals :( . It was my achilles again... *sigh* The same one that I ruptured and had repaired 2.5 yea...

Re: The Sound of Logic
Hi! I'm alive!
Sound of Logic is on the backburner for a short bit-- I'm currently stuck on my latest story, a sequel to Persistence (plot? What is that?) and once that's done I'll finish up the last "chapter" of the Sound of Logic.
Sorry!!!

*sigh* I'm afraid. Last night in ballet class, I was up on pointe (my toes) when I felt a twingey/pop behind my left achilles tendon. After checking that it ached a bit to be on pointe, I switched to ballet slippers, then, cursing, to heeled jazz shoes as my heel and tendon started feeling achey. To...

Re: Look it's Tribbles!
*giggle* I love them. Must... resist... urge to add to my list of projects. Y'know, one coooould almost make them useful by turning them into a sort of tribble-shaped mini purse with a hidden zipper or clasp. (Did you know that there's an entire group dedicated to Trek on Ravelry (a knit and crochet...

Re: The Happy News thread
My happy news is that my knee surgery went well. And now I'll have two weeks off work to read and play online while my family waits on me. This is great. And here I was thinking I'd have to have another baby to get some time off.  That's great, Distracted! Enjoy your breather! (I learned...

Re: What are you...
Tonight's What are You has a knitting theme for me: Reading: Friday Night Knitting Club. I picked this up when the author came to our local borders and our local yarn shop had a knit-in event for it. She read the first chapter and I was hooked. Great book so far. Doing: Knitting my first hat. After ...

Re: The Happy News thread
Congrats Linda and Dylan! My happy news is that I finally finished knitting my first sweater and, despite a few errors (hidden by the beautiful colorway of the yarn), it actually looks good. And I'm addicted to this knitting thing-- I've got about three more projects in progress now (just no sweater...

Congrats, Elessar! I echo the comments on the cuteness of your niece. (And, wow... eclectic mix of room decorations.) Re; JT and the pink skulls... so in cute (and available) that even I (at my nowhere-near teen age) am contemplating a bathing suit with a pink skull print for this summer. But for bo...

Re: Randomness
I am so tired of knitting already! Well the knitting part is done.....now I'm crocheting the edges....:? I'm so not good at crocheting! But crochet goes insanely faster than knitting (usually), so... you're almost there! (still so impressed by your speed. And think of how warm all those babies are ...

This line: "While you are a bit offbeat, you don't scare people away with your quirks." Had me laughing out loud. I tend to hear something like that regularly.

Re: Randomness
If you hear the clicking of knitting needles and you don't see much of me I am busy knitting. I have one blanket I'm working on right now. As SOON as I am done with that one I'll start on another. (Which I can hopefully get done before the end of the month!) And than 1 more after that!!! I'm impres...
