Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

I was using Lothario in a playful sense, Dictionary dot com fails to convey sarcasm, also I was unaware it was an insult. I thought it just meant player. In seriousness (or as serious as a pimptitude assessment can be): Jean Luc Picard, while not my preference as a leader of men, is the most underra...

Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

Rake him over the coals? Why would I do that to such a specimen of manly magnitude?

Picard was the manliest man to ever manly man!

Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

If you think that's funny, I should demonstrate my evidence that Jean Luc Picard is the galaxy's most under rated Lothario.

Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

Didn't like a hundred or so years pass between ENT and TOS/Abrams TREK? Plus the thing that's always bugged me about trek is how stereotyped a lot of the alien races can get. You mean there isn't one Klingon who wants to pick flowers? Why not just one Orion Slave Girl who didn't want to use her boob...

Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

not matter how wrong they are. Don't poke the bear, man. We'll start all over. If you are a guy I think you might be the FIRST man I have ever "heard" call Kirk a "man-whore" most men I know just grin and say go man go. I'm a guy and like a growing number of men, I no lon...

Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

But I laughed when she said, "Jim I think I love you!" I just didn't expect an Orian woman to say that. I think it made a kind of sense really. She's an alien Woman evolved for sex and he's the biggest Man Whore in the Galaxy...sort of like Unstoppable Sex Addicted Force meets Immovable S...

Probably pills, otherwise the bridge would look like Skinimax every time she walks in.

Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

This, I feel is a perfect time to bring up my favorite part of the movie: Uhura's slutty roommate. Uhura always struck me as a girl who once suffered from a Slutty roommate problem. We've all (male and female) have put up with it once or twice but now this film, confirms what I always suspected: Uhu...

Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

That said, of course it is more informed to have seen something, but I don't think an opinion is invalid simply because someone hasn't seen something.*clip* But this is no longer about discussing the movie, but about people who are discussing the movie and I've seen signs that this won't be a fruit...

Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

Now that makes sense, French Revolution echoes aside. It rather implies the robot isn't a citizen, doesn't it? It'd be useful to have robots for some jobs, I guess. Especially dangerous ones, like firemen. But I think there's the risk of robots making us as a society fat and lazy, so we'd better no...

Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

I can declare that I'm surrounded by naked cheerleaders, but that doesn't make it fact. ;) You seem to think me seeing the film will magically change anything, but it won't. As for the reactions I've predicted, I've been through all those arguments before and seen the reactions when other people we...

Re: Star Trek: the new movie.

Wrong. "Informed" means that you have information on which you've based your opinion. By your standards I'd have had to live through historical events in order to base an opinion on them. I know the information, so watching the movie won't do anything other than reward Paramount with my m...

See, the phrase "Citizen" just screams robot to me. Not a complex one, just "robot".
