Re: Conventions in Europe

There are conventions in London from time to time. The last one was in January 2007 but it was just after xmas so I was pretty skint so couldn't go. There might be one next year. My mum and dad went to one in London about ten years ago for the 30th commemorative anniversary, which they said was pret...

Re: What are you...

What are you: Watching: Heroes, CSI (all series), Lost, Due South, Boomtown, ENT. I watched House of Wax last night and it was shocking. 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back. Reading: A bunch of documents from the Harry Truman Library in Missouri, also a book on Congressional conservatism and...

Re: Perceptions of Hoshi

Heroes is excellent, Lost is also good (although I think that might havae finished in the US now), wasn't keen on Rome although Kevin McKidd rocks! (check him out in an uber-Brit flick called Dog Soldiers about werewolves in Scotland!) Anyway, back to the thread! I find Hoshi a very difficult charac...

Re: What have we learned from the T'nT sites?

I'll second (or should that be third?) that! I've learned that I'm not the only one who went 'what!!!!' after watching *the_abomination* and wanted to do something to fix it. I've learned that the men on this board are just as (possibly even more!) romantic than the gals, and definitely more than th...

Re: Perceptions of Malcolm

I agree with hth2k and Dinah - Malcolm's definitely a realist when it comes to his job - an occupational hazard, I suppose. I definitely get the impression that he was raised with a 'Needs of the Many' pov. I never saw Malcolm as suicidal at all, simply that he was prepared to do what he thought was...

Re: Malcolm and Trip friendship

In my fics, Trip and Malcolm are good mates - I assumed that their friendship evolved over the course of the series after SP1 - I particularly liked their interactions in the gym in Stigma, where Feezal is trying to have her wicked way with Trip! Perhaps its because I have an affinity for Malcolm (a...

I'm not sure, maybe it's the romantic in me, but I like to think that if Malcolm met the right girl, such as a pretty, vivacious Communications Officer, then he might settle down, but as I say, that's probably the irrational, hopeless romantic in me! Very Happy xx

Alas, in Blighty its just greyness and rain, typically British! Is Averil Park anywhere near to Hyde Park? I spent about 4 wks there over the summer, beautiful gorgeous place! xx

Trip/T'Pol and Malcolm/Hoshi get my vote every time! I really like both Malcolm's and Hoshi's characters, the way Malcolm's portrayed as a sort of emotionally inept, better-looking Hugh Grant armed with loads of explosives is really goodl! Plus I felt really sorry for him in E2 when he found out he ...

Bit new to this forum stuff, so bear with me - I can see what you mean about Trip coming back for more, despite what T'Pol does, but I always try to bear in mind that she is Vulcan, and has been taught to supress her emotions - what she feels for Trip is probably meant to be quite a scary thing, esp...

Also Looking for Betas

Hi, you'll have to bear with me, I'm new to all this posting on forum stuffy, the technophobe that I am! Anyway, I'm on the lookout for a Beta reader, I have posted stuff on the Trip/T'Polers archive before, without a Beta reader, but I think I need one! If you're interested, could you please let me...
