What have we learned from the T'nT sites?
I got a little frustrated in a previous discussion. Sometimes it seems like we argue with each other all day, all this airing of infinite diversity, and it never changes anything, so I decided to turn things around. What have you LEARNED from this site? Specifically from the airing of stories and op...

Re: T'Pol Family
And another thing. I think for everyone here, their heterosexuality is pretty overt. Whether it's the women drooling over Trip or the men drooling over T'Pol. No one ever asked US to be subtle about our sexuality. I see T'Pol's butt in my face everytime I get on her. That's part of the fun. Not my t...

Re: T'Pol Family
The thing about this book TGTMD, is is does not focus on the sexual orienation of the gay couple. It does not mention that orientation just to drop it. There is a whole scene where Bert (Albert, Trip's brother) and his partner Miguel are sitting watching Archer's speach and Bert is ranting about how...

Re: T'Pol Family
It's like in those commercials when they have one person from each ethnicity. Like what the frell, why can't people just be people? Why does IDIC have to be so forced and fake?? :? I hate to break it to you, but some of us LOVE the commercials with the interracial couples. It's more common in real ...

Re: T'Pol Family
In TGTMD wasn't either the brother or the brother-in-law from Ireland? I'm almost sure they were trying to tie that in. As for Rigil being insulted my the mention of the husband, I don't know what to say . . . The author wrote it that way because that is HIS experience. HE has a same-sex partner. Ma...

Re: T'Pol Family
Was Enterprikayak hinting that T'Pol was half Romulan? In one of her stories one of Trip and T'Pol's babies has a Romulan forehead (it's not called that) and T'Pol remember a sister (now passed away) who also looked like that. As for the gay brother--about 3 percent of men and 1.5 percent of women i...

Re: Spontaneous Conversation thread
Well considering this all started with Kov, and Trip. Id go with American Football. Not Soccer. :? An I cant quite figure out how anyone would get killed in soccer, unless a cleated shoe to the throat could do it. :? Otherwise Soccer just isnt as dangerous as football. My oldest son, Jeremy, the so...

Re: Perceptions of Malcolm
I was never all that fancinated with Malcolm during the show, but I grew to like him when I wrote a fic with him. As for his backstory, there was something sinister going on in that Reed family, which I notice that most people totally ignore. I believe the father was abusive, but not to the point wh...

Re: Is there smoking in the 22nd century?
Well I have to end this thread again, since the ending got cut off. CX belatedly remembered Picard smoking in a holodeck program, and he "didn't choke or anything" so smoking must still exist to some extent. QED!

Re: Spontaneous Conversation thread
Working backwards I LOVE the Voyager crossover and your descriptions of Janeway! CX! Just keep writing that Home story EXACTLY like you're doing. I don't care if it's sad. (see my avatar) Your wording and direction is perfect! Rigil, I'm not qualified to comment. Somehow I'm not remembering this sce...

Elessar wrote a great opening paragraph for a story WHILE Chatting on line with me and Bether. Elessar, can you post it here?
