MissAnnThropic has posted Chapter 20 of her story.

As expected, Gary Seven lays the justification for his returning Mu'Pol back to the Mirror Universe.

She brings up an observation which I have never given too much thought to but since she incorporated into her story, I thought I would comment on it, the character of Daniels from Enterprise. From reading the various BBSs for awhile now, I understand the character of Daniels is not well-liked although I have never understood why. It seems people are just shooting the messenger for the troubles that happen, particularly Archer. I can speculate that Archer would not like Daniels for what he represents, a set future where all choices and decisions have been made. A character like Archer would resent that since he likes to think that he has control over his own future.

I find MissAnnThropic's Gary Seven to be an annoying, supercilious know-it-all when he doesn't. I never thought I had to have a dictionary and theoretical physics book next to me while reading fanfiction.

Also something else, since this story is about Trip and T'Pol as well as Mu'Pol. For it to be a true mirror reflection, wouldn't Mu'Trip have to show up at some point in an important crossway?

She definitely leaves you alot of questions and unexpected twists and turns in this chapter.

This is unexpected. Obviously, things won't work out the way Gary Seven wants them to, since the Defiant DOES upset the applecart and the rebellion fails, the Terran empire endures.

So did MU T'Pol die? Or did she manage to stay in the RU? Or did the RU T'Pol go instead and screw up? Or did MU T'Pol kill off RU T'Pol and take her place? Or did Trip kill Gary Seven? Or did Trip go with MU T'Pol and kill MU Trip, take over Defiant and become the new emperor?

All kinds of possibilities.

I don't love "The Comedy of Errors" (well! I'm not alluding to WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE! )

She was losing me there early on, but she managed to hook me in by the end of the chapter. I'm still game. Anyway, it's hard to resist writing that's so consistently good even if the plot gets a little dicey.

That part where MU T'Pol states that Trip thiks of her as a child was somewhat comforting in the sense that at least he's not thinking of her romantically. I couldn't stand the story if Trip was to be paired with MU T'Pol.

I just wish we'd have some sort of idea of how things between RU TnT are going to be fixed.

maybe in a fashion the rebellion did work without bringing down the empire.
for one thing the status of vulcans are very different in mirror mirror.
they come off as having their own power , respect and being feared.

Just read the latest chapter, and all I have to say at the moment is THANK YOU! Thank you, MAT! I know things aren't perfectly all right right now, but we're finally getting somewhere. Finally! How long have I been holding my breath for? Oh, just 21 chapters...

I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. With MAT, there's no middle ground, at least there hasn't been with particular story and admittedly this is my least favorite of her TnT works. When I finished this chapter this morning the words 'pipe dream' and 'smoke & mirrors' came to mind. And, dammit, I'm still peeved about MU Tucker getting shafted! MU TnT is my crack only second to E2 TnT. There just isn't enough anything with those two in fandom (::cough:: KRN, SEQUEL to Imprisoned ::cough::) >_<

I quite like this story... especially now that it's turned a corner. I wasn't keen on Gary Seven's appearance, especially since we're having to wait so long for each new chapter. But now it's obvious that his appearance isn't the point of the story, just a means to an end. And I like the way things are going. I just hope we get a few good long chapters of growing togetherness, as reward for the long dark road up to this point.

Excellent new chapter I'm glad we finally get to see a real turning point for T'Pol was long overdue.. well done can't wait to see what happens with Trip & T'Pol next.definitely agree with you Zane!

I really liked the description of Captain Kirk. Missanthropic really gave Kirk the sense of personal power and authority of a starship captain and keeping some the humor that William Shatner the actor gave him.

I just wish she had given the same care to her descriptons of Spock and Dr. McCoy, maybe later?
