It *was* quiet. Thanks, SB, for beating me to the punch. I was just about to open up a thread titled "Does T'Pol have the hots for Archer?"

THAT would have stirred things up!

Chapters one and two of this story should be required reading for every Enterprise fan. I know you had good reason to introduce Puck and give your story another dimension, but even if 'Puck' had never existed these two chapters would stand alone to show how well TnT suit each other.

Okay maybe there should be some distinction here... Admitting fault or wrong is not the same as an appology. There are some circumstances where an appology is warrented but not an admission of wrong. For example...

T'Pol gives an order to Trip who doesn't agree at all, so they go to Archer to make their cases. T'Pol gives the argument that what Trip wants to do is irresponsibly risky, with little chance of success, when her solution has minimal risk and optimum chances of success. Trip for whatever reason feels she is degrading his competence. Archer goes along with Trip's plan and it fails spactacularly.

Now, we know T'Pol would never degrade Trip's competence. Still, his feelings were hurt. So T'Pol could offer an appology without admitting fault or wrong.

Trip, could appologize and admit wrong, because well let's face it... He was in the wrong, but the appology would also smooth any friction.

You mean something like this?

T'Pol wrote:I'm sorry that your plan was a dismal failure.

That the sort of apology you had in mind?

More like... I appologize that my arguement caused you to question my belief in your capabilities. That was not my intent at all. I am well aware that you are one of the most premier engineers of you generation. It is unfortunate that your plan did not come to fruition.

And...
Seriously, I'm sorry you can't admit that I also know what I'm doing? Silly HUMAN!

Hey Transwarp. That sounds like a great thread.Start it. I am sure there will be varied opinions. Men willl say no and women will say yes or something like that.

Hey now, such a thread would also be contrary to the point of this site and make people angry for no good reason. Let's save the passion for something important.

Men apologise to women (especially their significant others) all the time, even if they're not in error. It's just easier that way! :-p

So :trip: would obviously apologise to :tpol: from time time time...

KTR is right. If is far easier to apologize even if you are right. Saves wear and tear. a little gift with the apology to sweeten things doesn't hurt either. Who gives a damn who is right or wrong. clear the air.

Again you can appologize for hurt feelings, without admitting wrong.
