I forgot how heated it got around here. In any case I'm very certain it is both a physiological and cultural issue. In TOS: Who Mourns Adonias, Savage Curtain (Pre Surak Vulcans tended to kill each other, before they grew old. All of that paranoid psychosis. That I know. VOY: Repression is an excellent episode. TNG: Unification 1, Sarek are very important ESPECIALLY Unification 1 the first five minutes will tear anyone with a heart a part. And if it doesn't that person needs to find themselves a wizard because they are a Tin-Man.

I remember that episode when the crew of TOS visits a planet and some how the planet makes everybody act on their deepest desires. Spock meets the love of his love on the planet - he never had express he loved her - and we see him fallen in love, laughing and having fun. He didn't die during the laughs or afterwards when he became normal again.

It does makes sense that confronted with death people do get more emotional. It's a overwhelming experience.

Hello. Been gone for a while. Broke bothlegs and badly sprianed one. In a rehab faclityrightnow.

Whatever, T'Pol did showemotions oftren. In the episode where Trip is im;pregnmated she shows emotyins by chewing him outfor playig hourseon the alien ship. in Strange new world she sowed emotion. In the episode wherethe foundthe abandoned shipwith a girl and he father liing onit withlots of holos. T'Pol showed emotion by crawling tripandreminding himo f the incident in the 'reganancy e[ospde. Think the ter for ARcvhjer ws an attempt by the writers to start a Archer T'Ol thing but it fell flat. Never liked it.

In Demons T'Pol shows emotion whenthetell paxton he is not a siognificant leaders nhe facde was very emotional. T'Pol being a different Vulcan and a bit ofrebel may have deliverately alowedm her emotions toc omeo ut.

But then, what do Ikow?
