... was Jon than Trip? Also, did they go through some sort of survival training together, or did I imagine that?

Inquiring plot bunnies need to know.

When in doubt, I always go to http://memory-alpha.wikia.com - It's the go-to spot for all things Trek. If memory-alpha doesn't have it, you either need to start reading the actual scripts, or making up shit :D

Archer's YOB is 2112
Trip's YOB is 2121

21-12=9

So a 9 year difference.

For info on Trip: http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Charles_Tucker_III

For info on Captain Archer:
http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Jonathan_Archer

Lots of good backstory on those pages.

The other day I was watching an artist's impression of what might have happened leading up to Jon's big speech, and noticed that it showed Jon giving T'Pol a hug before he went on stage. And perhaps T'Pol was there and perhaps Jon did hug her. Anyway, it seemed to me that Jon whispered something in T'Pol's ear before he let go of her, and I wondered what he might have said. Any ideas?

"I want to be the cream filling of a TnT oreo"?

JK. I think you could safely make up anything for that.

LOL... this scene exactly reminds me of the first time, 30 years ago, when I was around 20 years old and was hugged by an American boy. He meant it well, sweet kid, but in that time as an European I never had a huge in my life. I was really shocked. (Not anymore people, I am big hugger now. )

Anyway, T'Pol is totally uncomfortable with Archer's hug. A bit stiff she accepts his hug. And did he whisper something in her hear? Maybe it was "I know what you did last summer... planning to run away with Trip."

Are you talking about that TNG episode where there was this holodeck program and Riker ate the engineer for breakfast after Troi warned him not to?

Maybe he said "You're next, bitch!"

I don't remember an Enterprise Episode that has this scene. I remember a poorly written TNG piece of trash that had something like this in a holodeck scene. I figured it had no relationship to "reality". But for the sake of argument "Trip Lives!"

Setting aside the many reasons why the holodeck simulation is unrelated to reality, I like to think that if anything like that had happened in the real world, the message Jon would have given T'Pol would be "Don't worry, he'll be fine."
