How to play the Star Trek movie theme on the piano

This guy manages to be a music nerd and a Trekkie. :)

I was inspired to go looking by my son, who has figured out how to play the opening on his trumpet -- and Nero's theme, too. 8)
OMG, ANOTHER new chapter! NORTH STAR Chapter 28

I love that guy! He's so enthusiastic. And the music is wonderful. Thanks! I had to forward that one.

I JUST SAW THE MOVIE....AND I LOVED IT!!!!

(Bit of a reset, but alternate timelines are something we Trekkies see every day, so no biggie).

They managed to find some bang-on good actors re looks/personality/etc.

YAY!

PS ~ Did anyone else notice how the plot was basically season three of enterprise?

Isn't Chekov a scream? And McCoy steals every scene he's in.

I've seen it twice and absolutely loved it. I was so proud that I was the only one in my group to get the other Enterprise connection. The reference to melvaran mud fleas. I swear that I had not heard about it in advance, but I got it the minute McCoy said it! They may make humans sick but Zoumas loved to eat them, the fun part is keeping them in your mouth.

Finally I have seen the movie, and I desire to express what I think of it, even if my opinion has its limits, obviously, because I want to share my thoughts with yours, regardless of how much my opinion is similar or different from the one of the other people, and because I think it's beautiful when a man can talk freely about what he feels.

I wanted to share the movie with my daughter, because she is not a StarTrek fan and I believed her judgement were able to be free from any bias. She is young, she has an open mind, whereas my wife is used to lift her eyebrow when I talk about ST and T'Pol and Trip and ENT.
After movie conversation:

Father: So?
Daughter: So what?
Father: Did you enjoy the movie?
Daughter: Oh , full of special effects, sure.
Father: Only that?
Daughter: Well...
Father: Oh, I know you find StarTrek obsolete.
Daughter: Dad, please do not get angry, but you really believe this movie can be capable of pulling me toward StarTrek?

So, ultimately... how can you think I should have done so as to push my daughter toward some kind of appreciation?
In order to do that, I should have found a little bit of StarTrek.
I found a movie, instead, like many others.
Frankly, not better and not worse than the farrago of more or less nice movies which throng, nowadays, the world.

And all this, without me saying anything about what I think of the idea to show something which can be called StarTrek, because in the story there're certain names.

I don't know: if this is the price which has to be payed so that StarTrek continues to live...

My opinion, obviously. Only mine.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Thanks Asso, for sharing your opinion. You don't need to apologize for an opinion. :)

Just saw it. I enjoyed it. My thoughts:

SPOILER!!!:
- Spock/Uhura? Okaaaaaaay
- Real Time Line Spock taking up residence in this new time line... Oh the fan fiction we could write on this subject alone :-D
- That alien thing that followed Scotty around. WTF was that....?
- Holy sh... They destroyed Vulcan ?!?!?!?!?!

Things I especially liked:

SPOILER!!!:
McCoy!!!!!! Bones was just full of awesome.Definitely my favorite.
Writing as TrekPyro.

Hi, Coffeecat, great to see you posting! Yeah, McCoy in the new movie is cool.

SPOILER!!!:
I just HATE that they destroy Vulcan in this AU (they always have to destroy something spectacular, don't they?) Maybe in the next movie they will show how the few Vulcans who survived are getting along on the colony they said they would create. Because Star Trek w/o Vulcans is...not Star Trek IMHO. :(
