It certainly wouldn't be the first time! If your drabble was based on a quote from the show I must admit I didn't recognise it, shame on me. I can just imagine TnT having a conversation like that, though.

Oh no! I'm not guessing. I'm not next. I did write the Porthos one though in the first drabble thread. Now Dis and Brandyjane can't kill me.

It kinda has to be T'Pol, doesn't it? I don't actually remember that conversation, but if happened while the shuttlepod was adrift it couldn't have been with Trip. And the only other male on the crew is Archer. I would have much rather seen her bickering with Trip, though!

She blinked in astonishment. He surely wasn't suggesting that she should have an intimate conversation with him? And Touch him? How absurd!

Clearly he hadn't been briefed on proper etiquette. Or perhaps he had. She narrowed her eyes speculatively at him. The greater probability, she decided, was that he was trying to provoke her into a dispute. At a formal ceremony such as this, it might even be grounds to have her dismissed. Looking distastefully at the outstretched hand she considered her options; clearly some sort of response was expected.

And, after a moment's thought, she had the perfect reply.

Cogito, I don't dare say who I think your drabble is about since I have to spend the rest of the day grading papers. I will say that it's an interesting glimpse into a certain character's mind!

Cogito, you are right it was Archer and T'Pol from the episode Shuttlepod One. In the second ready room scene. I only changed it a bit and added "tha tis not true" at the end.

RE your Drabble. T'Pol and Trip when she first meets him?

Oh Cogito! You've got a talent for comedy. I won't guess, but I have to say the "formal ceremony" alomst threw me off. Brilliant!

Great work, Cogito. Really enjoyed how you showed how a Vulcan could misunderstood the gesture of the handshake. Liked the voice of T'Pol in this drabble.
