'Fraid so. There isn't a rat bastard in existence who truly believes that he's a rat bastard.
You're up again.
You're up again.

Re: Bio-poem game
I wish I was dreaming
Like this hadn't happened
And I dream I was back in my quarters
I am so embarrassed
I used to be wary
But now I've played the fool
I seem to be maintaining my control
But I'm really a bloody idiot
Like this hadn't happened
And I dream I was back in my quarters
I am so embarrassed
I used to be wary
But now I've played the fool

But I'm really a bloody idiot
RIP Tom, I will miss you, as will many others
Re: Bio-poem game
'Control' brings a certain vulcan to mind, but I think you're being sneaky there because I can't imagine that particular vulcan being concerned about embarrassment. But it's evidently somebody who has been manipulated or persuaded into something that seems improper, which is not something they would normally do.
Could it be Malcolm in Dead Stop, looking up at T'Pol's Eyebrow of Doom?

Re: Bio-poem game
Sorry. I figured it was Mal, but your poem isn't specific enough for me to identify the episode. I'll have to defer.

Oh, he's not getting his "tensions eased" by the alien shape-shifters, is he?
Re: Bio-poem game
I know it's a cheap shot, but I couldn't get this out of my head after reading Distracted's original offering:
I wish I could tell him how I feel
Like an impenetrable wall, propriety forbids
And I dream of blue eyes and dark blond hair
I am lost
I used to believe I could do without love
But now I know otherwise
I seem to be impervious to fear
But I'm really a coward
I will do something more original, honest. Just gimme a minute here.

I'm touched. Plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery, after all. I've done it enough to know.

Re: Bio-poem game
Here's one with a little less flattery in it:
I wish I had looked before I leaped.
Like the predator that is our namesake, I did not stop to think of consequences.
And I dream, when I dream, of how badly this could have turned out. And how badly it nearly did.
I am lucky I can still walk.
I used to be confident of my abilities.
But now I think I need to be more careful when I pick my fights.
I seem to have got away with it this time
But I'm really sure that if there is a next time, I won't be so lucky.

Re: Bio-poem game
Someone whose namesake is a predator. A MACO, maybe? But sharks don't leap.
Someone who picks a fight and loses.
Sorry. I'm drawing a blank. Can you say what season at least?
