How to knock out the warp drive

Hi all,
I hope you can help me. For a story I need some information about the warp core/warp drive.
Some one places an explosion near the warp core/warp drive. The warp core is not damaged, but stops creating energy through matter - antimatter. So the ship is dead in space.
I was thinking about an explosion in the control room.
It's that possible and how to get the warp drive working again (fixing the consoles in the control room?)
I am hoping one of your more technical persons could help me out!
