It's quite a good read that tells a lot about Vulcan society and culture, especially the nature of the Bond. :vulcan:

That book is where I got my mental picture of a Le-Matya. That and the animated series.

Congratulations!

I finally finished ours last week (after doing the quickie version in January just to make sure I didn't have to start saving to pay the tax bill). Every year I swear I'll get organized so I don't have to go hunting down a hundred different little pieces of paper next time, and every year I end up hunting down the same hundred different little pieces of paper.

But at least Turbo Tax is my friend.

Darn, wish I could say my taxes are done. I have to go crack the whip and make my husband finish them.

The Vulcan Academy Murders and its sequel ARE good. We read them for The Vulcan Book Club we had going a couple of years ago on Soval's Annex. Yeah, a lot of Vulcan culture in those books! :vulcan:
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Oh, if it's tax time (I did mine in Feb. before I left) it's time to read A Taxing Time.

If it makes anybody who's debating what constitutes 'published' out there feel better, Jean Lorrah started out writing fanfic, back in the days when you had to xerox the things and pay money for them to cover the printing cost. Sometimes I miss all the cheesy drawings and not-so-cheesy drawings, actually. I remember one of Kirk with a towel that was particularly striking.

It's kind of funny. I just passed along my entire fanzine/script collection (which wasn't that big) on freecycle last year when I decided it was too much trouble to try to Ebay it and I just didn't need Star Trek crap in my closet anymore. And here I am. I try to get out of it and they drag me right back in again.

Which reminds me that nobody on freecycle would take my Cinefantastique magazines & miscellaneous comic books from the X-Files. Anybody want 'em? I'm afraid the magazines are far from mint because I pored over them many times. Comic books/graphic novels are in good shape, though. You pay shipping, you can have 'em.
