So I've been wondering about magical schools in the world. Hogwarts is just one. There are at least tow others - Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Presumably there must be a lot of other ones since wizards and witches exist all over the world. So where are they? Is there one in Sweden?
I read somewhere that Durmstrang might actually be located in Northern Sweden, but I've always thought it was either in Russia (Igor Karkaroff is a Russian) or some mountainous region of Bulgaria (Viktor Krum is Bulgarian). At least there's a dragon called a Swedish Short-snout.
Also, is the Ministry of Magic only for Great Britain or for the entire world?

Oh, that would be for the whole empire.
SPOILER!!!:
So, England and Wales and a bit of Northern Ireland, then.

I have recetly bought all of the Harry Potter Movies. I have ran all of them up to number six.
Six is a disaster. The Sets, Photography, Lighting, directing are all horrible.
Whoever did number six trashed the series. Certainly did no favors to the Actors. To the sets. I suppose a few might like this new loook but for me is was apppaling.

I didn't mind the sets. The problem was in the lightning - as in the lack thereof. It was much too dark (as are the last two movies) and I always have to crank up the light on my TV when I watch them.
As far as the plot goes, well, it's not much different from the book. What I didn't like was the juvenile teen romance crap that took away from the main story.
Generally, my favourite HP movies are number three, four and five.

The only Harry Potter movie that I thought was really excellent was Prisoner of Azkaban, or however you spell it. It had tremendous style and beautiful thematic unity -- instead of feeling like some sort of rushed, crammed-in summary of the book, I thought it actually improved on it.
Goblet of Fire was the last one I enjoyed enough to see more than once. For me, the last three or four have been dark, dreary, slow, and hard to follow.
