Bad weather

Postby Asso » Mon Dec 24, 2007 2:37 pm

I heard the news of very bad weather in US.
I hope everyone are good!
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Yeah it's up in the Great Lakes area... North of me aways. We've got snow on the ground, but we're fine :)

We're fine here. It's not even freezes-you-to-the-bone cold anymore!

It's always so cold you can catch your death during winter in North Dakota. It makes us wish for that hot humid summer just as soon as we've gotten tired of it. It's a never-ending cycle, really.

Well Old man winter was working overtime Yesterday we ended up getting over 10 inches of snow it's really was a mess. The roads are difficult to drive on and trying not to get stuck in snowdrifts. Were lucky no fallen tree limbs damaging the house or power outages so I consider myself lucky.

Looks like it's going to snow tomorrow. Actually, really snow. Seattle does not do snow well.

Yup, bad weather is in the Great Lakes area, and more to come today. The Great Lakes area is my home. We just sigh and get out the snow shovels. But I would not be able to call anyplace else home! I could never live far from a fresh water sea, even if they are snow traps. Home is home is home.

Uh, looks like we may get up to three more feet of snow today.

Three more feet huh? Y'all are worse off than Buffalo.

I grew up about 80 miles east of Buffalo. We made tunnels throught the snow which was way over my head each winter. Milwaukee is mild compared to that, but it might be partly due to global warming. The worst snow catch basin seems to be the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan which has some houses with doors on the second floor - to use when the snow gets high enough so those doors are at ground level.

 And we complain here in New England! It's snowing today which ruined my planned after-Christmas sale shopping expedition, but I'm cozy warm at home under a brand-new fleece throw I received for Christmas. I hope everyone else is similarly comfy.
