Re: Improbable Love stories
Okay you guys seem to think I believe they didn't or shouldn't have a relationship and I'm not. Maybe I should just stay away for now. I'm not making myself clear, and I have no energy to argue to try and make myself clear. Maybe I just have TnT burnout. I'm beat. See you guys when I'm less burned out.
Some of these people haven't taken their medication. Let's see what happens now...

Trip: Improbably but glaringly, I'm in love with you.
T'Pol: Improbably but glaringly, I return your love.
Trip: Probably, someone will judge our love improbable.
T'Pol: Probably, but illogically.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.
But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

I guess it says a lot about my peculiar mental disorder that I fixed him up, too, in one of my stories.
Just call me the queen of improbable romance.

Well for that matter, I do not believe to be outdone. Certainly it is difficult to think that I am describing Harrad-Sar and T'Pau as a couple in love, however, that I am describing them at least as an 'odd couple' ... Well, I must be honest: yes.

Distracted, yer did? with what? something out of the menagerie of Phlox?
That has infinite possibilities.
I was thinking of fixing up the Old T'Pol with Trip but dropped it. Doubt if either would tolerate the other. NO sharing among Vulcans. You wanna share? Fight to the death first one who is left alive can share with him/her self.

I sorta cheated. Since I did two whole virtual seasons I had Archer go back to Earth and breed Porthos with a female beagle to get pups to give to his new wife to keep her company while he went off to war.
(Yep. I married Archer off... twice (sorta). And Kov. And Hoshi/Malcolm. And Hess. And paired off Cutler with Phlox in the RU (with Feezal's help and approval), and practically everybody else with anybody I could think of or invent. It's an obsession. )

Nope. Both of them were OC's. One Betazoid who left him a "widower" of sorts (He was her consort in name only and she died of old age... very long story. You'd really have to read my virtual seasons to figure it out) and one stubborn Hispanic Texan.

I read the whole thing, 'way back when I first discovered TnT fan fiction. It IS long, but it's well worth the time.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

Re: Improbable Love stories
First I had to look up what improbable meant: not so likely. Mmm.... I don't think the background and specie of a person counts, as much if they share the same values and moral code. I could have marry a person from my own background, but if he didn't think the same on the basics (fo example what kind of values you think you should tell your kids, how to spend your time and money), it wouldn't have worked. In fact I married some one from a totally different background and character and to complicate things: he is male and I am female. But we share the same values and it works.
So TnT are good to go. They do seem to share the same moral code.
But Archer and Raijin for example - lot of chemistry, not many things in common. (But it's fun to write about such a relationship).
Vash/Picard: lots of fun and chemistry, but totally different view of the world. That would be an improbable love story, but maybe Vash can teach Picard to laugh and Picard can teach Vash that with fun comes responsibilities.
I always see potentials!

Love is a verb.

Re: Improbable Love stories
Skipping about in this thread I noticed Porthos mentioned and the lack of romantic opportunities, poor guy. I once put him in the opposite situation. In one story, I had him fleeing from the amorous attentions of a miniature pet sehlat at the peek of her seven year cycle. Both of them slammed into Archer and knocked him down, LOL.
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.
