The great lines game
Hi there, folks
Remember that passage in a story that had you rolling on the floor so hard that it scared the cat and made your folks wonder if you had gone bonkers? The same passage that makes you re-read entire chapters, just so you could read that passage again? Ok, then you might want to take part in this game I'm proposing. Give us your favourite one-liner or short passage and tell us, where to find it Of course, please keep it PG of course
I'll open the festivities:
“In that case,” he pulled her over on top of his chest, “I have a confession to make. Winning a fight always turns me on.” He gently nipped her shoulder.
She looked down at him with her dark eyes glowing. “My people are descended from warriors, Husband,” she growled. “I invite you to guess what watching you win a fight does to me.” She swung her leg across hips and bent forward to capture his mouth.

Have fun

Great idea!
She intercepted him at the door. "I would be willing to exchange sexual favors for your cooperation."
He stared sourly down at her. "You're fun, but you're not that fun."

Re: The great lines game
It doesn't have to be funny, does it?
"I am a geologist," said T'Pol.
"You are also a scientist, a brilliant mathematician, my wife and the woman I love more than my life. Not in that order," smiled Trip.

From Evalyn A's wonderful "Resemblance,"
And then pulling her coat off and grabbing her hand, he dragged her into the merriment in the living room, joyfully exclaiming to the startled faces that turned their way, "Look what the cat dragged in!"
OMG, ANOTHER new chapter! NORTH STAR Chapter 28

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.
But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

The end of "Father to the Man" by BnB
The whole scene is fall to the floor laughing but I submit.
The Vulcan saw the young human blink and turn to look at him for a moment. He listened in total incomprehension as Trip muttered, “This nails it to the barn. That boy is definitely out of the will.”

Re: The great lines game
I'm ashamed to say that none of my favorite passages by Hopefulromantic are appropriate to post outside of Decon. I suppose that says something embarrassing about my taste in fanfic.

This one is allowed to be posted outside decon, I think ...
Can anyone guess where the quote is from?
He felt her sudden fierce joy in the bond, and suddenly he was flat on his back, pinned to the bunk by a double armful of happy, naked Vulcan.

I will put my guessing hat on later
If any out there have not read THECURSORS "Wedlock", you haven't lived.
"Are you sure you can’t make a slight exception for-"
"NO!"
Archer just sighed. "Then I guess I have to tell the happy couple."

Here are a few funny scenes from Favors' You're what?
The view screen was blank when Trip stormed onto the bridge; he had a pink mark on his left cheek. Muttering, “Damn it, damn it, damn it! Infuriatin’, pig-headed, arrogant woman…she..I’d…damn her! Damn it damn it, damn it.” He stood for a moment, fisting his hands, before pivoting on his heel and returning to the ready room.
“It’s good to see some things are back to normal. Only T’Pol can make him that angry.” The captain remarked with a laugh.
=/\=
T’Pol considered Trip’s words, he could be quite logical when it suited him. She turned to the doctor. “As the urge to engage in sexual relations will be very strong, Commander Tucker suggested you could monitor us. 'Throw a bucket of cold water on us if we get too randy', wasn’t it? I assumed that had a sexual connotation.”
=/\=
“I have laid out garments for you to wear this evening.” T’Pol told Trip as she toweled herself off.
“Don’t trust me to dress myself?” Trip chided her with a friendly smile.
“Your off-duty attire can be somewhat…questionable.”

Re: The great lines game
From Infie's very sad but lovely story "Determined" http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4511650/1/Determined:
Her lips twitched, betraying her amusement. His smile widened into an open grin that suddenly faltered as he reran the conversation in his mind. "I'm dying, aren't I?"
The starkness of the question stole her breath. "Yes."
He closed his eyes, rested his head on his forearms set against the edge of the low table. "I knew it," he muttered. "I always said you'd only ever be completely up front with me over my dead body."

Re: The great lines game
Shran took a cautious sip of the orange liquid and grimaced. It was very... tart. He pushed the glass aside and looked at the Human who awaited his verdict.
"No," Shran said. "No, I cannot drink that. What else would you recommend?"
The Human waiter smiled imperceptibly. "Perhaps if you tried another sip..?"
"No, I--" Shran's protest died on his lips as he realized the initial tartness was gone, replaced by a flavor both exotic and delightfully sweet.
Interesting, he thought. He reached for the glass again, taking another cautious sip. Yes, a hint of the tartness was there, but mostly he tasted that wonderful sweetness.
"On second thought," Shran said, "I believe this will do. What is it called?"
The waiter's smile broadened. "Orange juice, sir."
Shran squinted at the glass of orange liquid in his hand. "Orange juice. Of course; how imaginative."

Re: The great lines game
Not to toot my own horn or anything (except that I am ), but I've always liked this one:
The inevitable emotional turmoil that this quick-fry-to-a-crackly-crunch of his homeland caused in the heart of our young human hero sent him straight into the arms of his now extremely un-bored Vulcan companion. Then came the obligatory writhing on the floor without clothing and unsanitary exchange of bodily fluids that invariably follows this scenario, at least in every good story that I'd like to read. And that's how they got together.
