Star Trek XI Uniforms - SPOILERS
No pictures, but a friend of mine attended a retailers toy show and sent me an e-mail regarding the uniforms. He said the toys being displayed were, among other things, for the Trek XI movie. The uniforms on the figures were basically the same as TOS: tunic shirt and black pants for the guys and min...

Re: JJ Abram's U.S.S. Enterprise
Uh, trying to follow the stuff leaked about this new movie and was wondering if there are supposed to be any versions of Enterprise or prototypes, mockups, simulators for training, that are between the NX and Kirk's ship? Could that explain the diversions from the TOS technology we are seeing? Not ...

Re: JJ Abram's U.S.S. Enterprise
It's fine. I find it too close to the original design to be part of a reinvisioning movie. Except the point is to not be a "reinvisioned" movie. This should be TOS on the big screen instead of a reboot if they're going to do it. To be frank, we haven't seen the whole ship, so it's kinda h...

I think that's "nothing new under the sun." In any case, yes, everything is derivative, but it can still be entertaining.

Re: JJ Abram's U.S.S. Enterprise
I'm curious to see what people would've thought of this design , which is much closer to the original design. It's not exactly what I was visualizing as far as what I'd do, but it's a good example of adding details while still maintaining the overall look. It's fine. I find it too close to the orig...

Re: JJ Abram's U.S.S. Enterprise
The problem is, that all the "new" stuff, is never actually new. DS9 was as great as it was because Ira Behr fought to keep its integrity. VOY and ENT tried to emulate TNG, because the suits saw TNG as successful. Strictly speaking of numbers, it was, but as they discovered, the formula t...

Re: JJ Abram's U.S.S. Enterprise
Then they shouldn't have made a movie that took place in this era. If anything, Paramount should've jumped ahead a bit after NEM and started off with their own crew and ship, or heaven forbid, they could've done something to give DS9 a movie, if they wanted to exploit the franchise at all. Paramoun...

Re: Trip and T'Pols children
Whoa. Nothing major, I hope. No, I had a little basal cell skin cancer on my forehead. About 80% of people will get this type of cancer at some time in their life. It rarely metastasizes and is easily taken care. Unfortunately, since it was on my forehead, the stitches from the surgery were causing...

Yeah, sorry. I was out of action after some minor surgery. I kept getting migraines.
But it's all good now, so I'll get back to working on the site and stories.

Re: Trip and T'Pols children
Yes I have read Quills stories. I like them as well. I would definitely like to see more of Soma's siblings as well. I've always wanted to do something that involved Soma's younger brother and sister. Not sure what the story would be. The brother works for Starfleet in a civilian capacity and the s...
