Re: The Whine thread.
Oh dear. No, you don't want a ferry in a hurricane (I'm sure they won't even launch). Good luck. :banghead: Just called the ferry company and it's actually still on with no refunds. At this point, I'll be a no-show... if they cancel, I get my money back, if not, I'll live. Like a game of chicken wi...

Great Now hurricane Bill will make an appearence in PEI. I'm going to be a basket case this weekend. I KNOW! I'm currently vacationing on PEI (and Volunteering at the Canada Games-- YAY!-- Possibly the only "Yankee" volunteering, too) and am set to leave on Sunday via ferry to Nova...

... Asso! You blew my cover! :tsktsk: "Absit iniuria verbis... et actionibus." I found it on the web and I recognized it was you. I was sincere: it was a homage for your grace. But if you think I acted wrongly, I beg you to forgive me. ;-) Of course you didn't act wrongly! I was teasing y...

Re: The Whine thread.
People showing up sick to work is the norm at my office... sadly, we're almost encouraged not to miss a day. Of course, that makes people like me (who is going through the "Year of Sinus Infections"-- I'm probably heading back to the otholaryngologist next week *sigh*) or my manager (who i...

Maybe I'll put Sweden for a time when I'm healthy enough to take the cold. Oh well I guess for now I have to choose between Italy, France, or Spain. Which it the least touristy? Portugal! It's one of the top recommended locations for tourism because the cost is lower, it's less crowded, the people ...

... Knitting like a crazy old cat-lady because I'm going to Canada in a week and I want to have this shrug to wear at night. I'm starting to hate making deadlines for myself.

Super Mario 1, of course. And Zelda 1.

Oh, dear, just read this thread...
My sympathies to you, WarpGirl. Best hopes to your mother, Aikiweezie.
And Linda, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you to find something that is even better than your previous job.

Awesome pictures, Middleman! It was really nice meeting you as well!
The best part of the one with Connor? The three of you actually were color coordinated, too, as if it was planned.

Re: Randomness
Totally random comment: I'm in love with "The Colony." This is one reality show (beyond "So You Think You Can Dance") that I can get hooked on. Someday, when the apocalypse hits, I'll know how to make a hot water shower with a tank and duct tape...

(E and KTR, you make me blush) Thanks for posting more pics, JT! Arachnia was GREAT-- and even better that Kate Mulgrew recognized the costume immediately when the woman wearing it was up to ask a question. You can't see it in pics, but she actually went to the trouble of putting black "gems&qu...
