Re: The Happy News thread
I'm off to Collectormania tomorrow to meet Connor for the first time! :happyjump: I just know I'm going to dissolve into a small, speechless, puddle at his feet, but it'll be a happy one. I made myself a Not Dead t-shirt from my avatar picture so I'm proclaiming my allegiances up front. Fingers cros...

Re: Blood, Sweat and Tears by Drogna
Thanks for the comments, everyone. :D I had a lot of fun writing this one, particularly exploring the different aspects of Trip's personality and thinking about how T'Pol might view them. Tucker Three was surprisingly difficult to get realistic without turning him into cartoon character evil, and I ...

Blood, Sweat and Tears by Drogna
I know that I'm supposed to be finishing off Postcards but I have to admit to playing hooky and writing this instead. Blood, Sweat and Tears Summary: Commander Tucker finds himself with a rather unusual problem after he returns from an away mission, and T'Pol bears the brunt of it. It's just somethi...

Re: Is there any way to improve "Carpenter Street"?
Here's what I want to know: Does Daniels have any skills other than making his technology do cool tricks? I mean, he's got some nifty technology, but that's about it. It was one thing when he was trying to counteract TCW stuff in the ENT period. Then he has to get Archer to save the future after th...

Re: Postcards from Deep Space One by Drogna
Yes, this is down to Mr Drogna putting the wrong site back up - Burning Tiger is an old project of mine, currently on ice but still knocking around on the server. He's in the process of sorting it out now...

The site is currently down for maintenance, which was supposed to be a five minute thing but has turned into an all morning thing.
Normal service should resume later today.

Re: The Whine thread.
With your writing skills, have you tried submitting articles to online publications? Some of them actually pay money, believe it or not. Yes. Have you tried to do that? :? I'd be interested to know if you have some ideas for where to submit. Last time I tried I hit a brick wall. No one seemed willi...

Re: The Whine thread.
I'm a bit down. :( I guess life is getting to me. I gave up my job last year to spend more time with Mini Drogna, which is great in so many ways, but I find myself missing the challenge I got at work. Recently I started applying for jobs but since one of the reasons I gave up was because I hated my ...

Re: American TV sucks
The Australian Broadcasting Co. shows some BBC stuff, and while the British can make good TV, they also seem inclined to make insanely weird TV. (Of course, I'm an ending fanatic so I dislike a multitude of loose ends. Especially important loose ends.) Their Jekyll and Hyde was insane. We just watc...

Collectormania, Milton Keynes UK, 2nd to 5th May
Is anyone based in the UK thinking about going to this? Connor has recently been added to the guest list. It's not very far from me, so I'm seriously considering it.

Re: Postcards from Deep Space One by Drogna
Wow, I can't believe how long it's been since I updated this one. Sorry everyone for the long wait. Here's Chapter Five: Chapter Five Here's a reminder of what's been going on: Trip and T'Pol are just getting things back to normal after the Kobayashi Maru incident, but find themselves having a few p...

Re: Other Active Trip/T'Pol FF sites?
I used to like Triptofan - http://triptofan.hopto.org/ - but it appears to have disappeared off the internet. It had some good fiction (although much of it unfinished), avatars, screencaps etc. Anyone know what happened to it? As to slash, I think slash only indicates gay fiction because as CX says,...

Re: American TV sucks
I wouldn't say UK TV is that much better over all - we get some pretty awful rubbish. You're just picking out the good stuff. Interestingly Top Gear is apparently the most highly downloaded show on the planet - I can't remember where I read that. Top Gear probably gets away with more because it's on...
