...doing? Attempting to stay warm. It has rained--more like poured--non-stop for the last three days, and the temperature is about 18°C right now, which for CR, is freezing... So, everyone in my house has a cold.

Re: The Happy News thread
I'm going to watch an exhibition match between Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras today. I didn't have money for the ticket (since I'm a penniless college student and all that), but my very generous brother in law (persuaded by my awesome older sis) called me this morning to tell me to buy the ticket and...

Re: What are you...
I was buying some stuff for my nephew the other day at Gymboree and the store clerk asked me if I had any kids. When I told him that I was still in college and that I have a long way to go before that, some lady walked by and said quite emphatically, "Believe me, honey, you don't need kids!&quo...

...doing? Removing dried up silicone off my fingers... Since I'm back in school, scale models are the order of the day, and for some reason, silicone seems to be working better than super glue on balsa wood tonight.

Wait, no love for Farscape? Unacceptable!
I was glad to find The Twilight Zone in the list though. I loved that show. And Babylon 5 remains my all time favorite.

Heh, I guess "redeemable teen movies" is quite the silly term, but you cannot get anything more predictable and cliched than a teen movie. But  I have to say that my fave of the older ones is Say Anything , and I cannot watch anything with Freddie Prinze Jr. in it. Cannot stand his ac...

So, redeemable "teen" movies are often based on better books or plays. Clueless (based on Emma) and 10 Things I Hate About You (based on Taming of the Shrew) are two of my feel-good guilty pleasures. ...doing? Unpacking. Back home after 10 outstanding days with my friends in Florida. And I...

Trying to set up the anti-virus on the laptop we bought today. The download has failed three times already, and I just don't feel like taking it back to Best Buy.
Oh, and I'm finally in Florida.

I wish we were in college football season so I could catch a Gators game. Man, I miss those days... We are . September 4, in the Swamp, the Gators are hosting the Canes, so if you're there, you might actually be able to see it. I... have to make a phone call or two. Thanks Rigil ! (Runs off to pack...

Re: "Divergent Paths" Discussion
Thanks for the reply, Rigil . The explanation does make a lot of sense, especially considering that this is the Trek universe. My brain has a hard time adapting to this sort of "super engineering" because of my training as an architect. While you are expected to have a notion about how eve...
