Re: To Brave the Storm
I purchased all of the books. Did you? Yup. I have every single Star Trek book ever published including a couple of rare ones. In case it wasn't obvious, I'm passionate about the books. Look, you and everybody else are entitled to your opinion, be it positive or negative. Let's make one thing cryst...

Re: To Brave the Storm
Well, I bought it and read it but I can't say I would recommend it, not even for someone who has read the rest of the series. I gave it up after the second book. Too much ridiculousness (secret-agent Trip!) and the plot never grabbed me. Let's see. Have I already told you that I completely agree? B...

Re: How best to save/archive one's fiction for posterity?
Over the years I've moved all of my digital archives (fiction, email archives, photos, documents, research files etc.) from one type of electronic media to another. It gets a little easier as time goes by and as media storage gains more capacity. Mine may be a far more techie and extensive a situati...

It's available exclusive through ThinkGeek. They also have a cool bottle opener (good for that Romulan Ale) and a Klingon corkscrew (good for that bloodwine) and a hip flask (for the "it's green" stuff).

I couldn't resist and got one too, just shortly after new years. It's gorgeous, isn't it? It's a lot heftier and well made than I thought it'd be and really pretty classy looking up close.

Air-powered Star Trek style door
And yes, this now the sixth video I've posted to TriS in just under an hour. Forgive me, I'm having a shiny-thing Internet-video-induced ADD moment.

I posted this elsewhere too but thought fellow TnTers would love the romantic nature of this one. I'm just ... wow. That's all I can say.

Re: Professions
Wait. Profession or job ? There are lots of professions I can think of that are needed just about anywhere in the world, and that I can thinking of extending to other worlds. Any profession, for example, that a new colony might need: just about any medical professional I can think of would be able t...

Arg! So many of these TEMPT me! But very likely I'm not going to have the time in January to do any writing.
If this project I'm waiting on doesn't pan out I'll console myself with writing on a couple of these.

Awesome photos! I've never been to an outdoor range. What were you shooting at? (Same targets as archery?)
