Actually, Prince Valient was far better drawn when it was just Hal Foster. the panels looked like oil paintings. Beautiful. These look to lush.
Thanks anyway, I liked Val very much.
Try looking up the Dragon Lady. you will find she is very interesting.

Re: Fall Colors and stuff
About the only sections I read any more is the sports, Letters to the editor, the comics (such as they are) and the front section. Comics used to be worthwhile but these days the only ones that I look at is Hagar the Horrible, B.C. wizard of ID and peanuts. Gone are the good ones lIke Dick Tracy, Te...

Morning paper was the P.I. Times was the afternoon paper.
The Star didn't last that long. They couldn't compete.
These days both the times and the P.I. are just hanging on by combining operations.
I actually prefer newspapers. Damned T.V. just gives sound bites and very little news.

Alelou, Seattle Tribune? Never heard of it. there had been three newspapers in Seattle at one time: the Times, The Post Intelligencer, the Star. But no Tribune. Was it in Tacoma? there is a Tribune there.

Weebie, one can Snow ski in the morning and then water ski in the afternoon in the Seattle area. Don't need a wet suit to water ki either. Lord only knows how many rivers there are in the western half of the state. within the city of Sattle there are five lakes the largest, Lake Washington is severa...

Weebie, much of the timber in Washington State was clear cut a century ago. the lumber companies are just now re planting. fortunately, the Olympic Rain forest was saved. Not that the timber barons didn't want it.

No, Dis, I counted the pills without the ten he handed me. I was short exactly ten pills. He may have wanted me to move but not because I was holding up the line. I was about to expose him. I used to get pills sent to me by a mail order company. I noticed a number of half pills in the bottle. when t...

Your friendly neighborhood cheat. Some years ago I had read that if one bought medication in a pill form from a pharmacy, especially one in a supermarket or something like Target or Walmart, to check the count as you might be being shorted by ten pills. So, the next time I bought medication in pill ...

Wife says that a watched pot never boils and I reply that a watched pot never boils over. I was a house husband for 13 years. I learned to cook meals. could do pot roasts, Casserols, stews, etc. I actually enjoyed cooking. wife does all of our cooking now since she is a wonderful cook and I could ne...

Re: Have you ever done something really stupid?
Wait until you walk in to a room or downstairs and then forget why you did it. Standing in a room wondering why you are there is just thrilling. For my age (77) my mind is still pretty good. I do not have dementia, yet. I do tend to forget to turn off lights which irritates Hell out of my wife. SB

Not sure, but I once read tat artificial Gravity could be crated by a slow spin of the ship. How that would be done I am not sure.
Once saw a design for a Space station that was round with an inner and outer ring. Bot spun at different speeds crating a gravity. that may, however, been Sci fi.

Re: I believe, I just lost my lunch
What is the saying? Lies travel around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes. That goes for hate to. It spreads like wildfire. It is easier for many to hate than to look for the good in others. You know, I believe "Gay" should not be used for Homosexuals. How can you be g...
