Re: Thoughts on Koss?
Coto made an honest effort, that much can be said. It was too late though. We were lucky to even get a 4th season. ENT was going down already by the end of S1 and S2 was the infamous nail in the coffin in the long run. I think that they needed to add exactly what the situation was. No really. :vulcan:

Re: R/S: Why?
Well, that's the tricky thing. They hold the same rank and Trip was supposed to be the XO when T'Pol was placed as the XO, making Trip #3. In the beginning he did challenge her on authority but by season 3 he had accepted her as the XO. I don't think the relationship would have happened if it hadn't...

Re: Member pics
I like it, yes. Pity I don't have that many occasions to wear it though. I've worn it once, on a wedding, that's all.

Damn it! I went back and edited the post and you managed to post while I was at it. But I can't see a link?

Re: R/S: Why?
I couldn't find the deleted scenes over there when I went looking. And deleted scenes are deleted. We never got to see anything. ETA: SF might not have had them but anyone who is in it's right mind would realise that it's not a good idea to entertain a relationship with someone you potentially have ...

Re: Thoughts on Koss?
Or we can just admit it's sloppy writing and they hadn't thought that far ahead because honestly? Hollywood very rarely does think that far ahead with their plots. It was clear during the summer of 2004 when spoiler script pieces began to "magically" appear in my mailbox, that TPTB ...

Re: R/S: Why?
Good lord! I figured she was young but 22? That's... young. Especially considering her skills in the language department. No wonder she was a bit frightened in the beginning. On the whole ship thing; well, as much as I would like to see Malcolm happy (he strikes me as one very lonely person) I don't...

So. Pictures? I've got some too. This is me: http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l97/agardenpath/steamp-dress-front.png ^ That's the most recent picture of me. I took it a year ago after finishing the steampunk dress on the picture to show off my master sewing skills (but I have a degree as a women's ...

⋅ You know you're a Trek fan when you cite Surak to your children. ⋅ You know you're a Trek fan when your teenage daughter is planning a Trek related surprise for your 40th birthday (I was eavesdropping). ⋅ You're a Trek fan when you manage to convince the leader for a...

Re: Vulcan clothing
Honestly, all it is is a Japanese kimono with minor cosmetic changes and the outermost layer left open. To be honest, they've pinched anything they liked from Iran to Japan and stuffed in to Vulcan culture in Star Trek, so it doesn't come like a surprise that they nicked the kimono idea. Personally...

Re: VOY Haters and Lovers Talk Here!
I don't have a problem with VOY though I'm not crazy about it. I liked Janeway. I didn't like Neelix. At the time when it was airing in Sweden I was a casual watcher, after years of indoctrination from a ST (TOS that is) crazy friend of mine who got me curious while TNG still aired, and once VOY cam...

Re: "Divergent Paths" Discussion
I was just going to say something about that idea that peace and luv is ruling the Star Trek Universe; I must say that considering that we are talking about humans, basically the same kind of humans we're right now, I don't see how we could get to the kind of humanity implied in the telly series. We...

Re: Wedding Wear
I'm aware that this thread has been silent for a while but I wanted to say something too. Though weddings are quite different worldwide, since Trip is from the US it's likely that in case of a human ceremony, T'Pol would research what the local traditions are. However, it's likely that things have c...

Re: How Would You Write Characters Who Don't Get Along With
As always in life, there are just certain people you don't get along with. T'Pol is blunt and though she's nothing like in season 1, she is still a Vulcan and isn't going to sugar coat things the way humans could have done in the same situation. People's egos are rather frail and too much honestly w...
