Hey, I finally have started reading Reflecting to You. It just came to the top of the pile of all the fanfic I am trying to read. I am such a slow reader! Exciting, its getting exciting, but my poor old eyes have to take it in short bursts because the bus bounces all over the snow and ice on the way home and the guy sitting next to me is usually so big in his padded winter coat that I am tight against the bus window.

Your crafting of this story is really good. I noticed that in the first few paragraphs of Mu'Pol's thoughts, the language and wording was more casual than the paragraphs with T'Pol in them. Is this intentional?

I just finished reading the latest update and wonder waht will happen now that T'Pol was informed by Phlox about Trip's decision about their bondand how things will turn out with the complications of Mu'Pol.

Mu'Pol being more 'free association' than our T'Pol was intentional in the sense that (from what I took from the In a Mirror Darkly episodes) that universe's T'Pol seemed a little more in-touch with her feelings... at least in the sense of anger and spitefulness. I imagine it was a surivival tactic, being forced to anticipate humans with even less emotional and behavioral controls than the humans in our universe. I noticed that with all the Vulcans in the mirror universe; that Soval seemed much more emotional, too.

You're doing a nice job of contrasting the real world and the mutual world through Mu'Pol's eyes. It will be interesting to see what path she decides to take.

yes, it would be very interesting to see how MU T'Pol interacts with both T'Pol and Trip.

By Dinah's comment on which path MU T'Pol would take, I am reminded of Spock's answer to Kirk's query on how Spock knew so quickly that the away team was not RU but MU. Spock said that it was easier for civilized men to act/pretend as savages than for savages to act civilized. So can MU T'Pol change her spots (unlike a leopard?) and find a place in the RU?

I think this is one of the reasons why I find this story fascinating in all the directions that MAT can take this story.
