The Vulcan game

I am developing a story where at one point T'Pol is extremely annoyed by a news broadcast with an ex-girlfriend of Trip.
Nobody is in the room and T'Pol mutters something in Vulcan.
First question: do Vulcans mutter?
Second question: what would she say (in Vulcan). My option is "Eat sand," but it seems too lame. Any suggestions?

Ooooooh fun! I would say Vulcans mutter, Tuvok does. What would she say. Well what would a Vulcan call a not-so-ladylike lady? Wait a second what is this ex girlfriend actually saying? What is ticking T'Pol off so much? And YEY you're not retiring!

I don't much like "eat sand" either, but I agree with WarpGirl. I can't give you suggestions about what T'Pol might say until I know what T'Pol is reacting to.

My first reaction would be something like "Prostitute" or "Tramp" if it has something to do with the ex's relationship with Trip. But do Vulcans have those words? I'll look it up.

Is this ex-girlfriend sounding dumb in this interview, or not? That would make a big difference in what she said.

On second thought, I bet T'Pol would be J E A L O U S even if this ex were a braniac beauty, which I don't happen to think Trp's ex's would be.

Aikiweezie I disagree. Princess Fishstick aside, I think one of Trip's must have's for a relationship is a woman who is extremely intelligent and accomplished. The man is brilliant on a Da Vinci level I can't see him with your typical top-heavy bimbo with an IQ of 85. Even Amanda Cole was accomplished and intelligent, Al'hen was intelligent and accomplished, and little Lianna was very smart. So I don't think Trip goes for shallow women with nothing but good looks and a 36 D bra size.

Kotik That's fine for men. But when women cut down other women (for a good reason of course), "Go to H-E-double hockeysticks" is woefully not enough.

I don't think there is a Vulcan word for **tch. Hmm there is always Nirak it means "fool" and according to Soval it's quite the insult in Kir'Shara. I think that could fit any interview miss ex girlfriend could come up with.

Here was my idea. The story takes place after *the_abomination*. Everybody has declared Trips death, but T'Pol is stubbornly not believing this. The media is reporting about Trips live and death - breaking news for a couple of days - (think about headline like "Greatest engineer ever lived dies in tragic accident"). After a couple of days, when the news factor has become less, one of the reporters has an interview with Nathalie Carter, ex-girlfriend. She claims that she never could forget about Trip, is just recently divorced and before the accident she and Trip were back together. (Which isn't true btw, he has been with T'Pol until his so called death). So T'Pol sees the news broadcast with Nathalie, who has her moment of five minutes of fame and reporters who are loving every word Nathalie speaks. Watching this, T'Pol mutters ...
(You have to believe me, the story is not as cheesy as my explanation of the story above. )

Of cousrse I believe that this isn't cheesy Panyasan, I think you are incapable of writing cliche bad cheese. Hmm Well I wan't going to put it like this, but if there is a Vulcan word for "slut" or "whore" (excuse the harsh words) those would work. Still, I think Nirak could work in conjunction with a stronger word. You've certainly initiated my RABID interest. But I do hope you plan on finishing The Captives as well. Kudos for blowing apart *the_abomination*!
