evcake, this 'what the neighbor heard' series is just wonderful. By now I believe that the neighbor's minor irritation has turned to a very deep affection. Who could not care for such a sweet plain spoken child. Please keep them coming.

Barefoot and…


He wanted to handle it as diplomatically as possible; they were still in the early stages of the mission, after all, and he couldn’t really risk antagonizing anyone. He wanted to, but he couldn’t help but laugh at the sight.

His chief engineer, actually barefoot and pregnant, was raiding the kitchen in the dead of night for pickles and ice cream.

Given the hormones involved, and the fact that he pretty much deserved it, Jon figured it wouldn’t be right to court martial Trip for flinging a pot of ravioli at his head before stomping out for a good cry.
