Enterprise Role-Playing on Twitter

For those of you are following the Enterprise roll-playing on twitter - I thought I would open a thread to discuss it. It's very TnT friendly in both its MU and RU iterations.

I am especially frustrated at twitter's failure this afternoon, since we have a scenario where Trip and MU Tucker have met - and Tucker has brought an injured Trip to the MU where he has so far encountered Dr. Liz Cutler and Empress Hoshi. Then, the fail happened.

Anyway, I'm on the edge of my seat on this one.

Awwww! On behalf of the other writers, thanks. We try to use the dreaded fail whale to our advantage when we can.

There are a handful of resources that help with following these stories:

It's a very, very different sort of fan fiction in its preparation, the act of telling the stories and the eventual outcome because of the nature of the medium. Please be aware of that if you follow.

Previously on Enterprise (http://enterprisefic.wordpress.com/about/previously-on-enterprise/) - A super quick summary of each of the stories since May of 2009. (We were tweeting before then but not with purpose.)

There are individual entries in the blog (supporting material for the tweeted stories) but we haven't kept that up as well as we should have and have let the "previously"s suffice for now. We'll catch up there eventually. As twitter client technology continues to change there may eventually be a way to "replay" the stories; I'm keeping an eye out for that and working with our existing tweet archive to create prose versions of the previously role-played stories.

For those of you following the Enterprise Twitter-based fiction:

We've added four new permanent characters (besides the doomed Mirror Universe version of Koss, this is the first time we've done that in over a year): @GeneralShran, @JhamelShran, @KolosQ (Main Universe) and @ViceroyShran (Mirror Universe)

We've also got a LONG list of upcoming planned-out stories, a slew of semi-planned interactions, all coming back from a brief dry spell, illnesses and summer holidays. There are two specifically TnT related ones coming up: another "mirrored TnT" scene (less than a day) and a TnT story for the Mirror U tentatively planned for September 7th-9th. Be aware that'll involve some angst. There'll be some TnT elements to two of the upcoming Main Universe stories in mid-to-late September because a reappearance of two second season characters. That's all I'm saying.

We'll start using informing @StarfleetHQ when we've got a story coming up so they can announce it and provide a link to a teaser as we used to do last year via a now defunct Twitterfiction announcement account.
