Well, he wasn't really intended to be "sympathetic" per se. I just wanted to show (again) that my version of the Trek universe isn't full of shiny, happy people. I'm sorry, but I just can't buy into the whole notion that humanity is going to evolve into those boring as hell drones we saw of TNG where everyone gets along and they have no vices (aside from being arrogant SOBs) ...

Chris just sent me this ... he's working on the Acheron cover and thought I'd like this nifty wallpaper too...

Just so I understand, you have written extensive outlines for each episode in the entire series?

Hey, I'm waiting for my roommate to get that Jessica Biel as Romulan screen manip done so I can drool over the "Bad Girl". Laughing

Nah. The "extensive" outlines like the one that I posted here are developed immediately before I start working on a fic. I do have a file on my hard drive that covers the generalities of the fics that I have planned but it just has various bullet points of key plot threads that I want to cover in that particular thread. Right now, it only has Endeavour: Medea and Endeavour: Amaterasu loosely plotted out, but, at the bottom of the document, I have a bunch of names that I'd like to use for future fics, as well as some key plot points that I want to address down the road.

So, I've got a lot of generalities, but don't go into specifics until I reach the point of needing to address them. For example, I know roughly how three of the recurring characters on Endeavour leave the ship (whether through death or reassignment), but, until I reach that point, I haven't put anything down on "paper" yet.

Most of it is in my partially empty head. Cool

Your teaser strikes me as quite odd.

Having a single Romulan ship drop out of warp directly into a terran shipping lane and then zapping a cargo ship seems strange. Nothing screams Hi there, here I am, quite like an exploding ship.

Now if there are lots of Romulan ships and this is but one, Earth is in big trouble as a fleet dropping in just now might well destroy the remaining fleet leaving Earth rather defenseless.

If it is one ship, they will have company right quick and alert everyone that is home to the fact the Romulans can come to visit any time they like.

Oh well we'll see what you have in mind sooner or later.

Yes, the picture is awsome.

I just read part one of Grendel I bet Rigel's got a big trap in store for the boomers & Starfleet with the Romulans attacking earth's shipping lanes. After rewatching the Andorian arc I wouldn't put it past them.

All your comments got erased from under the Pandora story at Triaxian Silk. Is this where you prefer that we comment?

I had minor comment that might work better here. I really like your theory about transplant from Sim affecting Trip over the long run. Makes sense. He has a part of SIM'S BRAIN in his head after all, poor used Sim. How awful! It was originally part of my backstory explaining Trip's depression in Forwards or Backwards, but then it got left behind. The depression was instead caused by a collection of other factors. I guess it would be a spoiler to say what those were. I wonder why I haven't read more stories using this particular "Sim's brain" plot twist? It has great potential, I would think.
I'm donating my body to science fiction.

Sigh. I know. Sad It's verra disappointing ...

Either or. I lost the previous Endeavour thread with all of those comments during the evil server crash, so I guess I'll just have to be prepared to lose 'em all. Confused

To me, it just seemed really logical. I'm no doctor (don't even play one on tv), but it was brain surgery! How was Trip able to get up and walk around so quickly? I mean, aside from the Trek Insta!Cure(TM), that is.

While I really did like the episode Similitude a lot, I was very disappointed that there wasn't even a hint of follow up to that episode. Archer basically grew a clone to harvest its tissues, then threatened to murder that clone to save his "best friend" ... yet we never hear anything about it again. A man died to save Trip's life ... yet we never see any hint of guilt or sadness over it. And it was an alien procedure to boot! Instead of having a potentially fascinating look at the ethics of this sort of thing and how everyone is dealing with their own guilt ('cause really, everyone in this would be dealing with some sort of guilt over Sim's death), we got an utterly pointless time travel episode called Carpenter Street (the return of Super!Archer and Sidekick!Polly. Huzzah. Doubt )

So it's my intent for that to be a recurring theme my Endeavour universe. I truly don't see how Trip could ever fully forgive Archer (or Phlox, for that matter) for Sim. He may be able to hide it a little bit, but forgiveness? I dunno...

Glad to hear you're having a follow about Similtude and the afteraffects of the surgery of Sim saving Trip's life is part of your series. it always bothered me there was never a followup about Sim sacrificing himself to save trip or how it affected the crew specifically Trip and T'Pol how would she reacted to the situation more in depth.

So we won't be seeing Daniels for awhile. I can't say that breaks my heart.

This is a great first chapter. You conveyed a lot of information in a very few words. Archer now knows there's a spy in Starfleet. And he's pissed. Stand back and turn him loose.

I loved Daniel's parting words. It reminded be of all those murder mysteries where some stupid fool puts 2+2 together and gets four then proceeds to an isolated place to call the detective. He gets as far as, "I know who the murderer is. It's..." and the phone goes dead. The detective now has 2 bodies instead of one. At least Daniels gets to come back in 70 years. If Archer's lucky, he'll be long gone by then, and Daniels will be someone else's problem.
