As a beta, I am always editing out big apologies to readers in the author's notes. "I know some of you will totally hate this sequal because you hated TITLE OF AUTHOR'S BEST WORK but I really had to go ahead and tell this story because . . . "

Don't worry! It happens to the best writers out there! You've written some great stories. KNOW THAT!

It's the one-star view of the Bible that got me. "Badly written" and "all caps are rude".

"Man, this book is boring. All this weird stuff happens and it's harder to get into than Lord of the Rings."

(He's talking about The Bible.)

What is boring about a book that has War, torture, Spousel Abuse, Slavery, Greed, Infedility, Rape, Incest, Homoosexuality, Beasiality . Fun places like Soddom and Gomorrah. Great characters Like Delilah. I wonder what this person considers exciting.

Well, you do have to get through some awfully long geneologies to get to the good stuff...

I didn't grow up in a religious family, so the only Bible exposure I got in childhood was during the occasional summer Bible school my mother would sign me up for just to get me out of the house, and that was just something you had to get through until you could do the next craft. I sat through the occasional Girl Scout Sunday at the Methodist Church, too, but that meant nothing to me besides a chance to dress up (I remember my mother insisted I couldn't wear red). But I distinctly remember the children's Bible in the optometrist's waiting room -- especially that story of Abraham and Isaac, complete with scary illustration. Lot's wife.... Sodom and Gomorrah... Noah's ark ... Cain and Abel. I went back to those stories every single time I went in there.
OMG, ANOTHER new chapter! NORTH STAR Chapter 28

There is lots of good stuff in the Bible: stories about people in all kind of situations, emotions, descisions, vividly drawn with contrast chapters, hopefull messages, love stories, poetry, sacarsme, jokes. Guess I just gave my own review.
Back to topic: I love reading Amazon reviews, especially the bad ones! Guess my reviews of fan fic aren't that bad. ;-)

Started chapter 5 of "May We Together Become Greater Than The Sum Of Us" :happyjump: . "Four Tuckers And A Vulcan Walk Into A Bar" catagorically refuses to be funny! <pouts>

You go, Aquarius! You go! for support!

I now really want to finish "A Mirror Cracked" - I think once I'm on break, I'll be able to wrap that up! I need to remember what RU TnT are like.

:happyjump: :happyjump: Chapter 2? Pretty please? <inserts begging face> I also looking forward to the finishing chapter of A Mirrow Cracked. There is so much going on and at stake at this moment.

I almost finished with my last chapter of The Captives. It's a struggle as always, but I think the result is fine.
I end the chapter with 6 small scenes from all the main characters (the pov's I have used). I was really pleased about Trips one and I thought I liked T'Pols. Untill I read it again this morning and really disliked it, it missed feeling. Ugh.

You can do it Panyasan I've got to admit I'm falling a little for my OC S'Tal he and Trip are really meshing well. I'm loving my begining to chapter 5. But that's a lot like bragging and I don't mean to do that.

Quite a lot of threads, yes. But I've a plan! I swear.

And I am looking forward to The Captives!

Believe it or not Ch 5 which I have been stuck on and complaining about for months is coming along so nicely I'm almost freaked about it. I have this feeling that all this good easy creative process is going to bite me in the backside. But if my health holds out, I think I might be ready for a beta in a week.

That happens to me, too!

I'm thinking of setting up a video camera, so I can catch whoever it is that's been sneaking into my room and recklessly revising my carefully crafted prose.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

I have a rule. Never read what I have out loud! If I do that it all sounds stupid and I'd never get it done.
