Well, the translator never had a chance It's a bit slang-ish and even more specifically slang spoken in Siberia. Not even all Russians would immediately make sense of it

A stupid question, panyasan, whose POV are you writting? I mean, if you are writing from T'Pol's point of view, then there is no reason to have a specific Vulcan word, since T'Pol isn't making that difference in her brain. If she's thinking in Vulcan all the time, but you're writing it in English because otherwise nobody would understand it , I don't think it's useful to have a no tranlated Vulcan word suddenly.

Excellent point, Escriba. This part of the story is from T'Pols POV. She problably would think in Vulcan all the time, (even living in an English surrounding with English speaking people would have the effect of English inflitrating the brain) especially when she is alone and on an emotional rollercoaster. Mmm.. no outburst in Vulcan then.

Maybe you could invent a Vulcan animal that is literally a "lunikkh tata'vik" - a creature that does poison wells or small bodies of water. It could be immune to the effects itself, but by the act of poisoning it will ensure that it is the only one who can drink from it.

So T'Pol's curse could be the name of said creature.

This thread has given me a couple of ideas and for the rest - I am off having fun writing.
