Okay I just did some research and this does not make sense at all. Tuvok. Like he got married in 2304 which means that's when he went through his first pon farr. Yet in the episode "Alice" it's mentioned that his daughter Asil was conceived in his 11th pon farr. Which would be like 2374. But he was in the Delta Quadrant from like 2371-2378 and never went through pon farr in 2374, but instead he goes through pon farr in 2377 consistency anyone??

Still though since Tuvok went through at least 12 pon farrs (though in one of them he mated with a hologram) and had only 4 kids it means they don't really have to conceive every pon farr.

Maybe Tuvok doesn't do the seven year thing. Maybe he's like a leap year kinda guy. They could get away with it too - It's Voyager, after all.

These are the peope who couldn't decide when Archer's father died, and who had Archer lambasting Trip about pushing his morals on other cultures when he does it himself in almost every other episode. I imagine that since the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing, someone pulled a number out of their ass and went with it. In universe, perhaps Tuvok was fibbing, or perhaps T'Pel isn't his first wife.

Or maybe he has an irregular Pon Farr cycle...

Here's another one for you: Asil was an adult by the time Tuvok was in the delta quadrant. In "Fury" there's mention of Janeway attending her Kolinahr ceremony.

And things like this are why VOY must be rebooted. I have to say that I'm a major proponent of no female pon farr and that Vulcans can not only have sex at times outside of pon far, but that they are fertile outside of it as well. I like to think of it as an evolutionary trait left over from an earlier stage in their evolution. But that's just my opinion and I base that on nothing.
