intriguing.

Mixin' up trouble with the Klingons. Good idea, it'll suck if they find out they've been used. But, they're supposed to be pissed with humans anyway.......

Briseis is also intriguing - only part vulcan? And Hayes has a soft side.. humm..........

Half-Vulcan, Half-Klingon. She is completely unrelated to any and all named Vulcans (or half-Vulcans) that we've seen on ENT to this point (just cleaning that point up before someone else wonders if she's Lorian's daughter ... although, if I'd thought about it, that might have been interesting...)

And Hayes has a soft side..

Yeah, he's in a transitional state. Learning that everything you knew about your past was a lie kind of does that to ya.

That was the... ahem... logical conclusion - but I've learned not to assume with you. (well, I learned not to assume a long time ago, but you've reinforced that) I believe the 'saying' about assuming is one of Surak's earliest teachings.

Wow! Given the teaser, your MU story is one that needs to be written. Pronto! It takes guts to put Empress Hoshi in her place. And I wonder what plans Trip has for T'Pol. Hmmmm. I have a feeling that this incarnation of Trip isn't a perfect gentleman.

Laughing Me I have always, an will always continue to make an Arse out of myself by assumin just bout anything. Laughing

Goda say No matter how barbaric they are, I always love any story that takes us into the Klingon world. Their my 2nd fav Trek species after all. Cool

An here I was worried we wouldnt see Hayes again. Very Happy He's becomin a fav of mine.
Laughing Ok its mainly cause with him, we get to see a human toss around Orions, an other big, strong aliens like rag dolls. Laughing

Seriously Luv the Hayes character man. Cool

Vulcan, an Klingon Hybrid huh. Confused She obviously had to be a slave from birth. Since a Normal Vulcan has the strenght to beat the snot out of a Klingon. Now a Vulcan/Klingon person should be stronger then both. Slavery is obviously all she's ever known. Confused I dont think all even bother askin how she came to be, since more then likely it wasnt pretty.
Either way it sounds like her Vulcan physical traits are more dominate then the Klingon.
Huh. The only other Trek example of Klingon crossin with a pointy eared species, was with Romulans in TNG. An those Rommie/Klingons, Their Klingon Traits were more dominate.
facinating.

Ok I guesss Im a lil peturbed. Confused Yeah Im over joyed that we might find out the fate of Lorian's NX-01. But Confused Unless Lorian comes to them, I really doubt that Capn Tucker, an Comander T'Pol can take their ship, let alone their small task force to go searching for the NX-01 through the Ex-expance. Especialy since their in the middle of a War. Confused Sad Guess I wont get My hopes up at seeing a Starship Enterprise blastin Rommie ships out of the stars again. Smile Oh well I can wait no matter how long it takes to see the Enterprise back in action again. Very Happy

Great Job so far man. Smile

BTW; I agree you seriously need to work on that MU Endeavour story. Cool
TnT I love em. Very Happy

Meh. Looking back at it, I find it kind of mediocre. In the event that I write this, that teaser would be seriously adjusted.

Frankly, I don't like them much. Don't get me wrong: they have loads of potential ... but that potential has been wasted as they turn into retarded morons who only serve to die stupidly. The Klingons of TOS ... now those were some cool dudes. If I could take the bumpy forehead Klingons (with decent teeth) and use the actually intelligent TOS-era Klingons, shucks howdy ... they'd rock.

An here I was worried we wouldnt see Hayes again.

Nah ... I've got plans for him.

She obviously had to be a slave from birth.

Yes.

Since a Normal Vulcan has the strenght to beat the snot out of a Klingon.

Providing he/she isn't an ultra pacifist.

Now a Vulcan/Klingon person should be stronger then both.

Where do you get that from? A mule isn't stronger than either its donkey or horse parent - as strong as the horse, yes, but not stronger. I don't buy the notion that a hybrid automatically gets the best of both worlds. Yes, she's much stronger than a human (due to her Vulcan genes), but she's also got to deal with those Vulcan emotions and a Klingon temper ... given that she's a slave, you can image how fraked up her life is.

I dont think all even bother askin how she came to be, since more then likely it wasnt pretty.

And might not be what you think ... remember what happens when you "assume" ... Razz

Either way it sounds like her Vulcan physical traits are more dominate then the Klingon.

You need to remember that this is post ENT's Klingon arc. Every one of the Klingons on this planet have smooth foreheads. She has a smooth forehead. Hayes/Khellius has a smooth forehead.

Guess I wont get My hopes up at seeing a Starship Enterprise blastin Rommie ships out of the stars again.

I reference you to how thoroughly and completely fraked up the E2-prise was right before Jonny & Polly & Charlie & Company went through the subspace corridor.

D'oh! Knew that name was ringing a little bell down some dark, musty neuronal corridor.

And a slave, too... Wow, Nate thought he had issues!

Medea is shaping up beautifully, just like its predecessors. I like how you're developing these intriguing--and dangerous!--strands, with the situation for Earth and the fledgling Coalition becoming more pressing. Shock

This is interesting. Does Hayes know that his control officer is Reed? The scene seemed to indicate he does. 'Cause if he did, I don't know why Section 31 would have him on a ship with Reed's friends.

I'm a little confused about how Hayes is comparing himself to a former slave. However, I love his interactions with her. I wonder... will she be a valuable aide to him? Once again, Rigil, you've raised more questions than you've answered.

Yeah. Reference Icarus.

'Cause if he did, I don't know why Section 31 would have him on a ship with Reed's friends.

'cause Harris is an ass. The "official" reason that Harris made Reed Nate's control was because Malcolm had previously served with Nate's dad during the Expanse mission. Unofficially, Harris expected Hayes to report any attempts by Reed to use the young man as a courier for contact between Reed & Trip or T'Pol since, at the time, Harris was absolutely assured of Hayes' loyalty to him.

I'm a little confused about how Hayes is comparing himself to a former slave.

Because Hayes has found out (thanks to Eisler's comments) that Harris lied to him, and that everything he (Hayes) thought he knew was wrong. He has learned that he was little more than a walking, talking weapon for Harris (ala Darth Maul - point him toward the target and get out of the way). So, Nate is a little bitter ... and, yeah, he's exaggerating a little bit when he thinks of himself as a slave but he's like 22, and who is absolutely mature at that age?

Now, the question is, how wise was it to send a disillusioned Augmented human into deep cover among Klingons? Twisted Evil

Kevin Thomas Riley wrote:Have you figured out what actress to play Briseis?

After some consideration, I'm going to go with the lovely Ms. Rose Byrne who played Briseis in Troy where she (IMHO) outshined "Helen". Pending change, of course, should I tumble upon an actress more suited...

What? Somehow he seemed older to me. This guy is around my age? And he's a deep-cover agent who's killed and...whoa.

I think he may be 23 at this point, don't recall. Harris "recruited" him at 15, so he's been doing this stuff for nearly 10 years now.

That's insane. At 15 I was worried about catching the eye of a guy who was a year older than me (thank goodness I didn't, 'cause I don't think it would've been good for me), not saving the planet. Harris starts young, doesn't he? Or are we supposed to think Augments mature faster?

Maybe krn should start a bitter, disillusioned Hayes action figure.

At 15, Hayes was seething with Augment hormones and teetering on the edge of homicide because the quarterback of the high school team happened to insult him. Harris stepped in and gave Nate something to focus on other than that.

Right, I recall that Harris 'saved' Nate. How magnanimous of him. Rolling Eyes That Harris probably eats live mice for breakfast.
