The remark Trip makes about needing to take several showers before all the Trellium is off of him--I didn't take that so literally. In beauty school I made similar remarks about wanting to take several showers (some of which would involve Clorox, depending on how much I was going off at the time) after having to cut a scummy person's hair, for example. I just thought it was a bit of exaggeration to let us know how icky/sticky/dusty/whatever the stuff was. I don't think he was literally so permeated with it he contaminated T'Pol and inadvertently got her "hooked."

Yes, but for the purpose of asking about the Michael Jackson "Thriller" wannabes. These days when it comes to discussing T'Pol and Trellium, it's sometimes asking for a circular argument I'd rather it not degenerate into. Suggesting that Trip was simply engaging in hyperbole seemed kind of risky.

And I am truly sorry for your loss. Just because I expressed some dread over the can of worms my comment about Trip might've opened up, A) it wasn't directed at you specifically and B) I wasn't accusing you of looking for a fight. If you had something to say about whether or not Trip was exaggerating (or anything else applicable to the thread) that's cool; if not, it's just as easily let go for the next poster who does.

In terms of Trip just using a figure of speech, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
