That's not true! Grigor-Tel is male. So's the Nausican, and he eats puppies for snacks (or something similarly fuzzy and cute). They can be as nasty as you wanna be. My point was not to do it with the romantic leading man or any of the sympathetic male characters. I can tolerate mental manipulation and conniving plots by both genders, lots of anger and arguments over same, and even a bloodthirsty Andorian granny, but as soon as one character with power over another starts torturing that helpless character, the torturer's the BAD GUY with a capitol B in my book, and most males are born with power over females just by virtue of their superior physical strength. Ain't my fault if it's not fair. It's biology.

I was feeling pretty down when I started reading Asso's latest installment. Have to say there was a smile on my face for a solid half-hour.
Not sure what it is - the enthusiasm, the unashamed romanticism, the breathless Emily Dickinson rhythm of the dialog - but it really got to me.
