Kevin's Stories

added a new short story to my site. It's called Spirit in the Night and is a follow up to my previous AU Borderland story For You. You'll probably have to at least skim the earlier story in order for this one to make any sense.

I might add another little smutty ficlet to my site here shortly. The story I just posted sprouted from an idea I had a couple weeks ago. After I wrote it up, I realized it wasn't much beyond thinly disguised pr0n. So I started adding scenes in an attempt to at least have something aspiring to be a substantive short story. When I finished, I had three scenes that didn't seem to mesh with the original write up, so I dropped it and posted the result as Spirit in the Night.

I'm not sure what I'll do with the part I excised. I may just post it as is, with a disclaimer saying it is what it is. I also had an idea to modify the scene somewhat, so I may do that. I'll have to see where my whim takes me...

Anyway, for now at least, I hope you enjoy my latest short little story giving a brief glimpse into what happened in the AU universe after the events of For You.

Kevin, I thought your stories deserved a thread of its own.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Spirit in the Night." It's a terrific follow up to "For You." T'Pol is a very competent nurse. You're doing a great job of showing how her relationship with Trip is evolving. They certainly seem very comfortable with one another -- and not just in bed. It sounds as though T'Pol is going to have some decisions to make in the very near future.

I know Trip's broken ribs are still bothering him, but...well....what's in that missing scene? Huh? Huh? :poke:

Kevin, I just wanted to put my two cents in as well. I have enjoyed your work for years now, the "Princess T'Pol" stories being one of my favorites. The new one is great of course. As the others have said, please continue.

Hey, stop teasing and put out, already!

Some of us have no maidenly reputations left to protect. I've left signed reviews for "Depths," for God's sake.

 Ok, this is the funniest post I've read in a while... :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:

Meanwhile, less announcing and more posting, kevin. Some of us have fanfic addictions to sustain here. The withdrawal sympthoms are not nice, I tell you... And great job on the latest addition.

OMG. You know she really loves him if she gets excited after the way THAT encounter started.

But it was fun ... in a very, ahem, down to earth way.

Sincerely, One of The Pervs

I agree that this scene doesn't quite fit with the rest of "Spirit in the Night." But WOW! What a way to start the morning!

When you can accept and care deeply for another person regardless of the state you find them in -- stretched out on silk sheets or putting the toilet to good use -- that's true love. If T'Pol continues to help Trip with stress reduction, he's going to have a hard time keeping the goofy smile off his face when he goes back on duty.

This was the perfect ficlet for a snowy day. Thanks, Kevin.

I'm glad people enjoyed it's smutty goodness.

However, I don't care what anyone says, I am not posting either of my ST:ENT/House crossover smutty stories. I've confined the first one to the trash heap. Some people may have heard of it. It's where Daniels tricks Trip and T'Pol into going back in time to find more Xindi, but really just deposits them in Dr. Cameron's apartment. She's stoned on some drugs (see Hunting) so TnT learn nothing about the Xindi. Trip does learn that T'Pol is more "adventurous" than he imagined. T'Pol learns about something called "reverse cowgirl".

I'm not sure I've told anyone about the second one and I don't expect to post it either. Although TnT are skeptical when Daniels approaches them, yet again, with supposed Xindi in the past, they agree to his request after recalling their last outing. As before, they find no Xindi (although they're not exactly surprised by that). Dr. Hadley finds out it's not a good idea to slip Ecstacy to a Vulcan female and her bonded mate (see Lucky Thirteen). By the time they're finished with her, she's a dehydrated mass of tingling nerve endings and is forced to hide in a clinic exam room so she can take in some IV fluids.

This ... does not compute. <<steam comes out of ears>> Why would you describe stories you never intend to post? <<eyes roll up, a steady tone sounds>>

I was joking. :wtf: From what I've read, people don't seem to like the whole "Daniels Time Travel" genre of stories and not even professional TV writers do crossovers well. Fan-fiction crossovers are almost always disasters.

I figured I'd combine the disliked Daniels-theme with a couple of House episodes that had pretty cheesy stories for describing two stories that, most likely, would be truly awful. :upchuck:
