Is Trip right of left handed?

Silly question, but important for my fic. Is Trip right handed of left handed? Or in other words, in which hand does he hold his tools and with what hand the device etc. that he is investigating.
I think he is right handed (so holding his tools in his right hand), but does any one knows for certain?

I'll have to look. I'm inclined to say he's a rightie, just because left-handedness usually stands out to me, but I just can't say for sure.

In fact, as soon as I tried to think directly about it, all I distinctly remembered was a pen light in his teeth!

I was thinking about the exact same thing!  Maybe I can use this in my fic. Like:
Phlox: I have found traces of metal in your mouth, especially concentrated on your teeth, Commander Tucker. It appeared to come from one of your tools. I also discovered that your teeth are slightly damaged by the use of these tools. Please refrain from holding your tools with your mouth in the near future."

Nahhh. Wouldn't work.

He is right handed. The pen in the mouth thing didn't cloud my sense :D

Must be something sexy about a man with a flashlight in his mouth...

I was just distracted, because he was multitasking. Flirting, talking, working and holding a flash light in his mouth. T'Pol was impressed. :vulcan: 8)

Yeah, right handed or I would have noticed because my son-in-law and grandson are left handed so I'm kinda sensitive to that. I wonder if actors are ever asked to change handedness for part of their character portrayal? It probably would be difficult. You should have seen me struggling to tie a bowline left handed so I could show my son-in-law how to do it. :?

Trip's right-handed, but I wonder if some engineers are ambidexterous by necessity? My engineer hubby pointed out how cramped it is in those conduits/Jefferies tubes. What if you had to make repairs on your "weaker" side (in Trip's case, left)?

I'm left-handed, so when an actor/actress is one too, I do notice it. In Babylon 5, both Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner) and Garibaldi (Jerry Doyle) were left-handed and it was obvious. So I don't know if actors are ever asked to change handedness for a part, or if it just becomes part of the character.
