Bonjour! Here's a poll for you guys... Say Trip T'Pol decide to visit earth, and go to a pub with his family. Would Trip do Karaoke? Would he be good? Would he be hysterically bad? What song would he sing? Would he have to be drunk?

I think he'd do it with Malcolm if he was relaxed enough, but NOT with his family or T'Pol. (Okay, maybe with his brother, but not his parents...) And I think Malcolm is the one who would really have to be drunk, but once he was drunk he probably wouldn't want to stop, and he would probably be just awful.

The way I see it, Trip wouldn't be so gaga about T'Pol if Mom hadn't been at least a little, let's say, intellectual. And I bet he can at least carry a tune. He's obviously has some music background.

Can't speak to Connor, though. Of course, having to sing is usually part of any theater education. (It was certainly the most horrifying part of the one acting class I took in college.) When I taught drama in high school, I had one class that just couldn't get enough of singing or performing for the whole school. We did Fiddler on the Roof scenes and West Side Story scenes and even a little something for Christmas that they made up themselves. They were such a fun group. The next year most of the kids wouldn't even learn their lines.

I didn't show the Karakoke, but I had T'Pol allude to secretly watching it in the last few paragraphs of the last chapter of Forgotten Time 2. Apparently Trip enjoys reprising the works of Russel Watson.

I love Karaoke - at least the Japanese version when you have your own box and you have a nice meal and sing along with songs with friends. I had some great times and laughs with Karaoke - and singing isn't one of my talents. I voted for "He rocks", because it would be a suprising twist (everbody expecting him to fail problably and I can imagine Trip having a nice voice.)

His visit to Risa said he was shy not the party animal, god's gift to women type and while he's out-going and wears his emotions for all to see I can't see him being that open in public.

I had a scene in a short story, where Porthos eats Trip and T'Pol's wedding rings, in which Archer asks Malcolm and Hoshi to distract the guests in the church while he finds a way to recover the rings and when he comes back it's like:

TRIP: Is Malcolm using a candelabra as a fake guitar?
ERIKA: Are they singing on the altar?
ARCHER: Is that ABBA?

WOW! Well mom and dad are babysitting the sibling's kids so TnT are with the siblings not the parents. IDK I have it in my brain that the Tucker family is a musical clan, just do. So I think with family he just might. Of course I could give him a black and tan to make it easier. It's funny how many people have already said NO WAY!

KTR I OBJECT! There is nothing undignified about Karaoke if you are sober, and not tone deaf! I am quite adept at karaoke and always dignified.

Alelou seriously? You've never seen people do karaoke sober and just because they love to sing? EVER? No ritual humiliation, no grabs for the center of attention, just a person who loves to sing and have fun with family and friends. You've NEVER seen that? OMG is everyone like that? I feel so bad.
