I uploaded the videos from my hard drive to a couple of different online storage sites (easy, just follow the directions), then posted the download links here.

http://www.mihd.net doesn't require you to register. Just upload your file and save the DL link when it's done.

http://www.snapdrive.net asks you to register with a username and password.

Well, phoo! I did a test DL and the video worked for me on Windows Media Player. I'm no audio-visual genius, but perhaps it has something to do with the player you're using...you don't have the right codec or something? Have you tried playing it on another media player?

She might need a newer version of WMP. 11 is out now, so that should work. If nothing else, try finding the latest version of DivX.

I tried downloading the videos and my realplayer refuses to play avi files it refused to update the plugin for avi files

Unless someone has some handy-dandy conversion software, here's the site where you can download a free DivX player to play .avi files.

Hopeful romantic Since I have internet dialup I tried to get Divx it keeps timing out when i tried to Download it and can take more than 6 hours to download and then since it's dialup it refuses to download the whole program beleieve me I've tried more than once to get it to work.And it hasn't so far.is there anyway you can post Ligeia's videos on Youtube if you can I can watch them there .My computer plays videos okay when it's on that site for some reason.I've been reading my computer manuals about mediaplayers but it still confusing when you don't understand all the features and plugins.I've kept trying to get them to download so far not much luck.thanks for trying anyway HR.

I sympathize with the long DL problems, Reanok. I downloaded some of Ligeia's (huge) videos back when I was on dialup, and there's nothing quite like the feeling when you have half an hour to go on a 4 hour DL and you lose your connection.

But I'm not going the YouTube route with any of Ligeia's videos. YouTube would alter the look of the video, and I have a problem with that. And there's the whole Viacom copyright lawsuit thing, and I think Ligeia would have a problem with that. If she wanted her vids on YouTube, she would have put them there, y'know?

So. I nosed around and found another DivX player. It looks pretty simple--I'm hoping it's easy to install. The download file is only half a MB. See if you want to try it out.
