OMG it's Christmas in June!

Oceano is one of my favorite vids of all time, E-pie. Josh Groban AND Trip and T'Pol -- heaven! But I haven't seen a bunch of these, I think.

Where the heck is Escriba these days? She should put her vids up here.

And there was Escriba on the very next post I read. Ha.

Wow! I'm going to have to pace myself so I don't go over the blasted download limit and set the internet speed back to the dark ages (you know, like 1996). But it is kind of like Christmas... I've only seen a couple of these, even! ("Wandering" is awesome!)

Question: it says videos aren't being hosted on the site. And yet, funnily enough, when I clicked on "All These Things That I've Done" expecting a link, up popped a download. I'm confused. How shall I get my new, not-even-processed-yet-on-YouTube video up?

I had the same experience at Ancasta's site. Do you have Vista? I'm wondering if right-clicking has become obsolete.

Yes, I have Vista, (with stupid Word 2007). Does that make a difference, Vista over Windows? Maybe if we ask really nicely dark_rain can explain it in terms I have a shot at understanding.

Yeah, Word 2007 takes getting used to, for me especially when it comes to saving files in a way that I can still read on other computers. Though I have to admit I'm addicted to the formatting tool already. I just wish I didn't have to then go to work and use a Mac where I can't even right-click. I always spend the first day back right-clicking pointlessly for half an hour.

I had to download a new video player to get the videos I hadn't seen from Ligeia to run, but it's a very easy player. VLC Media Player, hoorah.

But when I click on "Do You Like It?" I get a message that the file can't be found.

Great vids, Erin. You are so talented with these. I think my favorite is "All Love Can Be" but I also enjoyed the Malcolm & Trip one (The Darkest One). The only problem with TnT videos is that after awhile you've seen every clip a million times, so it's hard to come across something really different. You have a knack for combining even the usual clips in a very creative way, while mixing in stuff that isn't classic TnT.

Okay, so I have to add "All These Things that I've Done" as a GREAT ensemble video (right down to Porthos, ha!) and "Brother" as a wonderful Archer-Trip video. Really great work, Erin!

Now I really need to go get something constructive done today...

Speaking of Ancasta - "I'll Find a Way" is simply amazing. It inspired a fic in me, but I never got it written. I even got her permission to link to the video for it

Ok, the confusion with the links is that we didn't used to host them locally because the bandwidth and storage needed were way outside our capabilities - but now they're not. If I'm underestimating it and we run into trouble, I may have to backpedal, but I don't see that happening.

The problem for most people in linking directly to the videos as we have done here remains transferal - physically getting the videos to me. Most people's email programs won't let them send a 20-30+ MB attachment. My inbox at Triaxian Silk can recieve it, but your email may not be able to send it. Therefore, we are still accepting YouTube and the like.

I'll go try and fix the "Do You Like It?" link. And I don't know why these don't work with Windows Media Player, if that's what you're saying. I use VLC also. VLC Media Player and Google Home page are like my two favorite things on the internet

My fav. videos of all time are on this list: Windmills, Wandering, etc. Pretty sure that You Raise Me Up will make everyone cry. It's the only video that could possibly make you "okay" with Trip dying for Archer.

WMP only works for me for two of these and QuickTime gave me a codec message too. Rather than trying to figure out what codec I was missing I just went for the other player that promised it would play everything in the universe. If anyone knows what codec it is, though, I'd go for it, because I do like the way WMP plays back. And I like having an Enterprise playlist all in one place.

I love Windmills and Wandering too, not just the vids but the music. One of these days I really have to go buy some Ted the Wet Sprocket or whatever it is!

I'll Raise You Up is a little too gooey for me. I'm glad to have seen it but it's not one I replay.

Oh, man, Do You Like It? is truly excellent angst. Right down to the arresting graphic at the end. Erin, you're so great at this! Do you do videos for a living????

The reason you're all having problems playing the vids in Media Player is because they are encoded in the DivX video standard. You can download the codec (for free ) at http://www.divx.com
