Michigan Meet-up

This is a lil short notice--sorry--and may not even matter because as far as I know, I'm the only member from the lower peninsula here. If not, though, or if there are any lurkers who might be interested--

Some of us at Trek BBS have been planning a meet-up at the Black Lotus in Clawson this coming Sunday, March 28, from 1pm-? Most of the people involved at the inception of this idea are from the Metro area so that's why we're meeting here, but if there's more interest from across the state we'll start choosing more centrally-located spots.

That's the funny thing. This was hatched at TrekBBS, and only four of us would cop to being from Michigan. One was too afraid to meet strangers from the internet, one committed to coming but had a baby shower she forgot about. So that left two of us. So we just made scandalous posts about the cops coming and stuff. It was fun, we sat there for a long time and drank beer.

There was a lot of interest at st.com, but I only thought of letting them know on Monday, so everyone already had plans. I think a bunch of them will come next time.

I have to run, but I just had to pop in and say that's a great picture! One day . . . after taxes are done and I've got my lesson plans done . . . one day, I'm coming to Michigan, and I've got a Trekkie sister there, so we potentially have a 3-person convention. ;)

jT--Absolutely! I would love that.

Aikiweezie--Why don't you join us when I get together with jT and her sister? I don't think Chicago is all that far from Grand Rapids. An hour, hour and a half? Not sure, been a while since I made the drive.
