The blog SF Signal has run a Star Trek retrospective called "Revisiting Star Trek" these past few days, talking about the different shows. They're worth a read.
The Original Series
The Next Generation
Deep Space Nine
Voyager
Enterprise
I don't know what the last two parts will be about. Maybe the movies or the novels? The fan fiction?

I enjoyed that piece about ENT, haven't read the others. The writer is really enjoying season 3.

Good article. I think the guy is exactly right -- the show really caught fire in Season 3.

Re: Revisiting Star Trek
So, er, hi guys
I know I kinda disappeared off the face of the earth for a while. Been swollowed up by other fandoms and all. But, as some of you may remember, I was starting a rewatch of VOY when I was last here.... and, well, I finally finished it. And this seemed the best place to announce it.
So, should anyone be interested, I've my own little "treatise" about it here. It's long, about 2300 words, but... yeah.
I'll probably disappear back into the woodwork after this, but I'm still floating around in random places if you want to track me down.

Re: Revisiting Star Trek
I was wondering where you went. Voyager fans are also welcome here (I'm assuming you enjoyed it?). I need to check out your review. I was watching a little Voyager last weekend, in the background, while babysitting my little nephews, and had to turn it of when when some
appeared on the ship out of nowhere.

I'm donating my body to science fiction.

Re: Revisiting Star Trek
Oh, I'm still an ST fan. I've just kinda fallen into the ST:IX void at the moment, with an idea that overtook me over thanksgiving and has yet to release me. It's on the lj if anyone's interested, but, idk, I go through cycles with my obsessions. I figure that in another six months this particular one will peter out a bit, and I'll be on to something else, possibly ENT again. Who knows.
As for Voyager, well... it's a love hate relationship.
