Here is one I made this evening after the kids went to bed.

Recorded myself on our piano
playing Moonlight Sonata.

(piano needs a bit of a tuneup, but I like the eerie quality the slightly tinny music gives).

Then I set the music to a montage/trailer of the episode Home.

Yay somebody saw it!

I don't really play, I just mess around. But it is surprisingly hard (or maybe not surprisingly) to record ANYthing in a house full of dogs and kids. even after bedtime. so it took about 10 takes to get one with no dog or kid noises (or mistakes obviously).

You play better than I do after a year of lessons. Anyway I normally don't watch ENT vids they usually depress me by being better than the show. But that was very well done. BE PROUD!

It's funny: you think you know how to play something. And then you go to record it, and you realise you don't know shit. And after screwing it up fifty times you finally get a good one (sort of). And then a few days later (after your neurons have had time to rewire themselves a bit), you realize that all that practice has made you quite a lot better at the song, but now it's too late cause your video already has views and you don't want to take it down.

I think I may do this on the sly and do it in multiple takes. If I only have to play a few lines at a time (like 1 page) I can usually make them perfect. Once I'm 5 pages in and I'm perfect so far the pressure to *not*screw*up* gets to be too too too much and I totally screw myself up with nerves over it.
