As long as this is taking so long, do you really mean, "I wish he would forgive"? Or do you mean, "I hope he will forgive"? The former suggests he knows and hasn't forgiven yet. The latter suggests he may not even know he needs to forgive yet, or knows and at this point could go either way about it.

(Grammatically, the construction you have right now -- "I wish he will forgive" -- doesn't really make sense in English.)
