Ut oh. I used Chrissies Transcripts. If it's too hard for D. and Alelou, its obvously TOO hard. OK. Three clues:

1) Yes, its a memorial for departed friends
2) It's not T'Pol and it's not T'Pol's meditation candle.
3) It's from a really good episode.

Oh.

Oh.

I feel like an idiot now.

But it's my bedtime so I'll let someone else have the honors.

Think of a key moment in a key episode where someone blew out a candle.

Wow. I had to resort to google for this one, but it worked. I'm still going to hold off a little, since I can't get anything written this morning.

Well, the light went off in my brain right before I was signing off to go to bed...which I actually did do. No Googles, I promise.

Shuttlepod One?

I'm a-thinking, but it isn't helping. :(

Edited to add:

D'oh, Shuttlepod One, well done Ifvoy! Well of course it's obvious now.

Correct!!!! And now that I know I can write these in under 10 minutes, I'm playing! I can't wait to guess the answer to Ivoy's next haiku.

That THING will kill them!
But then I learned its language
And it let them go.

Vox Sola!

Half the trick is knowing where to go look up the danged titles when you can't remember them.

Got it in one. I know people look at me strangely when I say this, but that's one of my favorite eps. Bonus points if you can tell me who was speaking....

...and it's your turn. :)

No strange looks from me. I liked Vox Sola a lot.

Hoshi, of course!

Here we go:

It's different now,
Warping off into the void --
Darker, more urgent.

ARCHER: When I got this job, commanding the first warp five ship was about as big as a responsibility as I could imagined. Then, we began running into so many bad guys, and I had to start thinking more about the safety of eighty three people.
TUCKER: And now the stakes have gotten a lot bigger.
ARCHER: Weight of the world, Trip.
TUCKER: Literally. I can't wait to get in there, Captain, and find the people who did this. And tell me we won't be tiptoeing around. None of that non-interference crap T'Pol's always shoving down our throats. Maybe its good thing she's leaving.
ARCHER: We'll do what we have to do, Trip. Whatever it takes.

Presumptuously, I will proceed. If it turns out I'm wrong about the last one, no one has to solve this easy riddle:

Yeah, we hit it off
No! A perfect gentleman!
You gotta be kiddin’ me.

LOL. You were safe to go ahead. And yes, the next one is pretty obvious, so I'll wait in case someone else wants to play.

Isn't haiku 5-7-5? If not I've been doing it wrong.
