Is anyone else having trouble with pages taking forever to load here, etc? It just started at about 5pm Eastern...and all the other websites I'm looking at are working just fine.

It's not even like "taking forever to load", most of the time it's just down completely giving me a "page can't be displayed". Like it's down on its butt then it's up for like half a second, then it's down again for like however long. I don't know how long it's gonna take me to be able to post this now

I'm experiencing the same issues. I sent an email to dark_rain about it. It could be an issue with the host server.

I had the same thing last night - taking to long to respond so page could not be displayed. This was around 7 pm Eastern.

It was sluggish in the afternoon and then down all evening as far as I could tell. Dark_rain said it was our hosting company's issue. Luckily it came back on its own.

I couldn't even get here at all yesterday...

Funny thing, though: I wasn't able to get on at all last night from my pc, but I was able to get on just fine through my cell phone's browser. Don't know if that detail is relevant to the technical people or not but am mentioning it just in case.

sorry folks, just got in last night at midnight from D.C. We'll find out whatvthe heck is going on!

Please update me as to whether anyone is still experiencing systematically sluggish performance on the site. We checked with the host and they had some hardware issues that were corrected by actually moving our server to another building, on their server farm, presumably.

Everything seems good and happy right now. Last night I couldn't get through at all on my PC, but was able to view the site again from my cell phone--still can't figure that one out. *shrug*

Last night I wasn't just able to connect, it told me this place didn't even exist, as if everything had been erased... Same with the fic site.

Yeah, I know. I wonder if some people who don't come by frequently attempted it and thought, huh, guess they're gone.

Do we have any kind of crisis plan in case Hostmonster sinks into a sudden rift in the space/time continuum someday? (A back up? A place to leave messages?)
