Hello all,
I seem to be having a problem leaving reviews for stories. I've attempted to leave a review on my own story (as a thanks to those who have reviewed) as well as reviewing others' stories, but each time I type in the comment and hit the "Add Comment" button, all that appears in the comments section is a box with my name at the top, a dividing line underneath, and nothing in the comments section below. It's as if the site acknowledges that I submitted something, but the actual message is lost in transmission.
I'd love to be able to leave some reviews for the excellent stories I've been reading here on the site lately, but it seems like the interwebz has foiled those plans for the moment. If someone could help me sort it out, I'd be very appreciative.
Jamieson

Re: Review text lost after posting comment
Tech says you can try to use another browser. Firefox works better on this site. Or he says you can "clear your cache". I'm not sure what that means, but if you don't know either I can find out for you.

I think tech means to clear your history and cookies in your configuration panel.

Re: Review text lost after posting comment

And exactly how would a person go about doing that?

Re: Review text lost after posting comment
Okay, I just found out it isn't your configuration panel, it's...
go to configurations - with Chrome that's an icon in the form of a tool in the right corner of your screen)
then go to history - There you see "Delete all your browser information" (at least that what it says in my own language - but you get the point).
If you click on this you can choose for "Empty cache-memory".....
I hope this helps!

Great, thanks guys! I'll try clearing the history, and if that doesn't work I'll dust off Firefox and give that a whirl

Each browser has an according option in the preferences. In Firefox you'll find it on the "network" tab of the advanced options. It is however an not a likely solution for the problem at hand. The fact that Jamieson is experiencing problems most likely means that she's using Internet Exploder 9. The people over at DE use the same tinyMCE control for their comments and it doesn't work for them either. Using Firefox or Chrome should solve the problem easily.

Yep, Jamieson is definitely using IE! What can I say, I'm old-school =p
My work laptop has Firefox though, so I'll eventually get around to checking to see if I can comment using that. I'll see if I can remember to try it tomorrow.

Re: Review text lost after posting comment
Finally remembered to try leaving a review from Firefox, and it worked! Good old IE-fail...and yet I still can't seem to break away from using it =p Thanks for the suggestions!
