Multiple TOS-style Trek Films?

Postby Elessar » Wed Mar 26, 2008 4:35 pm

Pegg said he finished shooting the film, which stars Chris Pine as Capt. James T. Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock, last week. Pegg said he's signed up to star in three potential "Trek" movies.

He's just been a goofball in everything I'm a little uneasy about it. But he seems honored by it.

Have yo useen Hot Fuzz? The thing that made him funny in that one was that he was always serious. ;)

Judging from Simon Pegg's work in Hot Fuzz and MI3, and his obvious admiration for the craft and genre films (did you see the docu about him and Edgar Wright meeting George Romero to do a cameo in Land of the Dead as zombies? Adorable), I think he's a fine actor, and he'll do a great job as Scotty. It just depends on whether one can picture anyone else in the role.

I saw Simon pegg in an interview on the tv guide channel for a premier of some movie he was in talking about playing Scotty in the role of in future StarTrek movies he seemed to have enjoyed being in the movie. I'm planning on watching the movie just to see how the new actors portray their characters. And Leonard Nimoy is the number one reason.
