Know what? I never thought of myself as a van driver, either, but after I inherited the minivan from my mom (it's a 2000 Windstar), I wouldn't give it up for anything. It's a comfortable ride in so many ways, from being smooth on the road to the nice seats to the fact that when it's cold out it warms up like YESTERDAY, to the kick-ass stereo. Plus I like being higher up on the road as I drive, as I feel I can see more.

Yup, this one has a nice stereo too. And I did notice I was sitting higher and could see further. Still not used to the higher center of gravity and the greater turning distance it needs. But I am adjusting.

I am going to be off-line for the weekend at a Samhain celebration out in the country. But I managed to finish my Halloween story offering! I thought I wasn't going to make it before I left tomorrow...but I did make it! I hate deadlines but they do have their uses.

Of course it is okay to wish me a Happy Samhain! It is a time for remembering ancestors and friends who have passed, so there is some solemness to the holiday, but there is celebration of the Celtic new year, the harvest, and the joy of being part of a chosen community of friends. Football right? Well Yanks lost tonight but I'm still happy. Why? You may be wondering... Because it was an honorable loss! Philly's were AMAZING tonight and I appreaciate skill. Also my guys rallied in a BIG way in the 8th and 9th innings taking an almost impossible lead and shrinking it into only a 2 run lead. That was cool! All in all, BOTH teams deserve a huge hooray! But if the series doesn't wrap up on wensday and I miss Bones, I won't care who wins I'll just be ticked off.

Now in fairness the Phillies (yey spelled it right) were worthy opponents respect them very, very highly. More than the Red Sox and I respect the Red Sox (hate them too of course) But the Phillies are very worthy.

And of course this also means Bones is on tomorrow! So my life is pretty good tonight. God I am pathetic.
