I want to make sure none of you fall victim to this. Monster does make a hell of a cable (I used one of their RCA-to-mini-1/8" cables to route sound from my DVD player to my PC speakers once) but like the article says, it only makes sense if you're made of money, because the cost difference is so profound and the practical difference is marginal.
You cannot go wrong with a $8-$10 HDMI cable on Amazon or other online wholesaler.

Yeah, I used to deal with this a lot when I worked for Radio Shack. The high-end cables are really good, but it only makes sense if you've got the high-end equipment to go with it. Your system's only as good as your weakest link, so all the fancy cables in the world isn't going to make a cheap stereo sound any better.
